In regards for the people running in the quick 8
THIS CAME FROM Joe Sway Sr
QUOTE:
They can go deep but it can't be written on the car anywhere and we don't hold the tree for deep stagers. Once 3 bulbs are lit the compulink takes over. we will run it in a pro style class which gives them a little more time.
regarding Deep Staging

As for ETs, I know of three 10 second cars (between 10.4s and 10.9s) showing up for it with a few more low 11s (both Mopars and GMs).
Others are capable of running the number but have no roll bar so they're out for this one.

Not sure about getting the free pass into the brackets if you don't qualify for the Quick 8, I know at some events that's a nice perk...I don't think there will be that many GM cars entering the Quick 8 so you might be able to get in.

They're quite strict, especially lately.
5 point (with harness) is good down to 10.00 and up to 135mph but if you ran say a 10.5 at 137/138 I think you'd still be ok.
Just no 9s and no 150mph blasts with only a 5 or 6 point I would imagine.

Nice showing today.
Thanks for putting this event together.
Too bad all the GM cars went out in round 2 of the slick/DR class. who would have thought the entire left lane would red-light except for one car...???

Of course I can't cut a light and lose with a .697 on a .69 dial in.
In general, not a fan of atco. I HATE having to idle the car for the entire time in the staging lanes. I've never ran my truck at the temps I ran it today.
Also, not being able to go around the water sucks.

Yea it was a nice turnout, had a good time hanging out with everyone. Yea I have never seen 7 out of 8 cars red-light in the same lane all in a row.....and some good drivers that were on all day! Oh well thats racing I guess. Props to the mopar guys for coming out in force and taking advantage.
Its been a long time since I bracket raced and I think I might be hooked again! I had fun racing today, it is nice not chasing ET for a change and focusing on my reaction times and take advantage of having a consistent car........now the driver needs to practice nailing that tree!
