Looking for somewhere to get my cam installed I'm from western Massachusetts and want to get my cam installed and some other work done. I found a place that specializes in ls motors but they are 5 hrs away In NY I might make the drive since its only 600 install price with 350 for dyno tuning. Anyways any help is appreciated thanks

Slowhawk
Slowhawk would be your best bet. I am looking into getting tuned and some other work done too and all I hear is good things. From what I have seen around this site is that people drive 5 hrs+ to get tuned by Slowhawk if that helps

Ive seen your car around before, I live in agawam but go to granby all the time...I'll go to him then I was looking at New Era Performance they had a streetsweeper cam i liked that and was a good deal but i'll see what slo has to say. Thanks guys!

Slowhawk for sure up there... Just remember research whoever you do use.. Its always better to spend the extra few bucks for the shop with a big reputation. Cause you know the saying "you get what you pay for"

We have cam packages which are always cheaper than buying parts,paying for install then tuning.
We can also do installs and tuning.
Definitely search when ussing shops. We get alot of cars with bad installs and definitely bad tunes. Fixing a bad tune right now from another shop.

theres actually a few that are that price, new era in ny its just a hike 5 hrs away near buffalo ny. also this other one in goshen and i believe slo hawk i just found does it for about the same 600 plus dyno tuning. Wish i could do it myself i just dont want to mess it up. If i knew someone id pay them and give help with the instal and provide beer haha

Exactlly thats why i want to make sure its done right, I like your set up 69 camaro and a 98 haha Same as ive got basically. I've got a 69 camaro convertable and a 99 SS

BTW, have you ever sene the maple red firebird in my avatar? I sold it to a kid that goes to agawam high school. I have a white z28 now, hopefully i see you around!

no i lived in granby for a while. I grew up in belchertown and now i live in Agawam. You have a white z28? I havent seen it but I talked to Don today I am bringing my car to him. Its going to be a bit more expensive than i wanted but i'm sure it will be done perfect!! cam kit and instal for 1950. then i need a clutch so theres another 1200 haha damnit!!!! plus my ls6 install
1950s not bad. Im in the same boat, im trying to get my car up there for a tune, but I wanna get LTs, intake, TB all done at once. Gonna have to wait til next year though.

ya those will be the best things to do. tb is simple and Long tubes suck to do (the first time) if you attempt them let me know i could give u a hand.

We would actually be charging around $750-850 installed and dyno and street tuned (not including the actual cam kit obviously).
But I would recommend going to Slowhawk as well. The reason is simply because if something needs touching up, you don't want to drive a bazillion hours to do it. And he's more than capable of getting you set up right.
