Default Question about small scale metal fabrication (very small)

I know there's a lot of tradespeople on here so I'm hoping someone might know how to do stuff like this. I want to see if it's possible to reproduce a small metal part. This is from inside a door lock/lever. An office building where I do maintenance has several locks that are failing, and it's always this particular part. Replacement parts aren't available and replacing the whole lever assembly costs around $200. If I could find someone who can reproduce parts like this it would save a lot of money, which would make me look good.

Pics, with quarter for size reference:

(This one has already failed, there should be two little ears inside the round hole)

look for a laser shop in the area.

something that small will cost a couple of cents and they could probally bend it up quick.
