Inspection problem Hey guys got a question I no some if u hade to come by got no cats and three codes ran how much trouble for throw a fake sticker off another car?? Is it worth it or just dumb I no the ticket is one forty and can't keep paying it what should I do put the cats back or take the chance
Repost so everyone can understand what you are saying first, im guessing it has to due with "run cats for no ticket, or run without and run the chance of getting one", you can always buy a gutted set or make your own

Sorry it's a sob typing on the iPhone but what I'm saying is if anyone knows how much trouble u would get in if I got pulled over with a fake inspection I don't want them to impound my car or have the ticket go on my record like a felony or some crap
What state are you in? NC along with alot of other states don't have inspection stickers anymore. When you get it inspected the shop runs the VIN as passed and if you don't get it done once a year you get a fine in the mail. But I would imagine that the fine/penalty for having a fake inspection would be alot more then just if it was out of date

Yes, every state is different. In California the penalty is very steep. As posted above, some states have no stickers at all, like NC, but you need an inspection to get a license plate. It is all documented by VIN in the state computers. There weren't any inspection stickers in FL when I lived there 10 years ago either. Not even an issue. An improper license plate other than simply expired (bad decal, etc...) was a misdemeanor with mandatory court appearance and your car could be towed. Where do you live? Do a little research

I'm from ny we still have stickers here but that's crazy how some states don't have stickers I didn't even know that but I did some research and it turns out it's about a 500 dollar fine and possible car towed so I gotta get the ta to pass thanks guys

Yea but the thing is I take the car off the road for the winter so when I put it back on the road in the summer I get a 15 day inspection so never really hade to get the car inspected to get it registered understand? But I got the car inspected none the less
