I make no guaranties there. But they are easier so getting back lash and your pattern right are MUCH easier.

I too can set them up...why are you changing gears? If you reuse the gears, you don't change pinion depth so its a matter of measuring backlash and making sure you get the same backlash with the new carrier.

Like Dan, I don't guarantee it'll be mouse quiet, but I have the tools to measure these things...

is that still the setup that came from MWC??

i got lucky i guess b/c mine hardly makes any noise at all....i get a very slight whine at about 40mph but nothing extreme...just a hint of noise to let anyone in the car know it aint a stock rear..lol.

Yes 9 inches are very easy to set up. I cant believe you dont like the spool... You will notice a big diff at the track taking that out.

Richmonds are all we ever run, never had any noise problems, let alone **** goin bang , i have em in both camaros , one is a 12 bolt gm , the other is a 9 in ford fab 9 with a spool,i havnt ran that one yet . the nova runa a richmond 4.10 gear in a 8.5 gm 10 bolt rear and a spool , same guy set em all up. the nova cuts lo 1.3 60 fts in at 3300 lbs , so its getting hit pretty good on the launch
