Hurts a little less today..............
Definately NOT feeling the pain of ANOTHER efi race series being RAINED out AGAIN!
Taking this one in stride!
quote of the day:
"Race your boats-not your mouths!"

Yeah it got deleted. Some of it was bad blood, some thin skin but I think most of all I think they thought it was just counter productive for them to keep it on here.
CF guys are sensitive I guess, lol
I still think they could've kept in on here-I would've.
It was interesting anyways for a while.

You shoulda left it. Sometimes you need alligator skin in here but it's still worth talking about the race IMO.
Doug was dishin' it out, it's all good IMO.
Was never a need to get so upset Jay, nobody got killed or anything and you shoulda left all the "bs" in there too. Nothing wrong with some healthy back and forth.

It was my thread, I had it deleted when I got back from the Atlanta MNCA Event and saw all the bs. Should have just had the bs weeded out, but I was upset and said Fck it.

I just looked at the rules for the 8.9.
If you change the interior rules to these minor changes. More cars can fit.
Interior
"STOCK" Appearing dashboard
Door Panels (DROP OEM)
Carpets
This is the OLD GMHTP EFI rules from way back and the rules that were adopted for the past 8 years.
These are also some of rules for the 8.5 Index at E-Town, Atco, and Cecil.
The 8.5 classes have rules built around the very same platform as the EFI classes. Only real difference is being limited to EFI and not having Mechanical Injection or Carburetors. Tire size is also different but you're talking DEEP 8 second and some 7 second cars running this class also.
It's a great class to watch on Friday nights @ Englishtown

8.50 rules are that it has to have door panels and a dash, they don't care what it is, just has to have something, that looks like it should be, or was built to be there. At least that's what I have seen from the 8.50 cars I looked at when walking thru the pits at a couple events last year

We are talking race cars when you start breaking out of the 9 second barrier.

I agree. OEM interior, if you think about it, isn't always an option.
Once you back 1/2 a car nothing is going to fit from the main hoop backwards at all, well maybe part of the side panels, but that's it.
Also, if you're say building a 42 chevy back 1/2 car into a race car, or something that's really old like that (people do this all the time) alot of the time, the panel's aren't even available at all. Hell try finding a stock 3rd gen dash that's in good shape these days... that's even getting harder to do without buying an entire car car that's in really good shape, which doesn't make much sense when building a race car either.
It's about what's realistic. OEM interior, just isn't for the sake of saying. Having to have something, I absolutely agree. OEM, not on your life.

Sorry guys (and gals as applicable), that was my mistake.
I meant to say stock appearing (not "OEM") and my brain must have farted when I was updating the rules page last week.
I look forward to seeing your cars running the 8.90
Thanks
