I guess everyone has to learn on their own.
Too all the people that are saying "Its great when you find the right one".
Come back on and post after you have been married, with children, for 10 years or more.

There is absolutely no reason to get married these days.
More people get divorced than stay married. (a fact)

Nobody said it was easy thats for sure. Marriage is a compromise. There is no perfect person or relationship, its whatever the both of you make it. It only takes one person to screw it all up, if you don't take commitment seriously and build your relationship on trust, respect, and love then you are doomed.I'm just speaking in general, everybody has a different story. But Marriage can either turn into the best decision of your life or the worst.
More people do get divorced these days because we live in a selfish, I want now, there is always better, throw away world. Pretty sad.
OR you always try counseling.....

FYI delay getting a joint account as long as possible. I have gone 3 years so far and have danced my way around it.... I told my wife when she asked this year "if you saw how much money I spend on my car and bike, you would **** yourself. As long as the bills are getting paid, thats all that matters".

Ignore the rubbish on here. Marriage is easy if you stick some simple roles. You make all the big decisions like who should be president and what country the U.S. should invade. Let her make all the little decisions like where you are going to live, how many kids you'll have.

lol, thanks guys. (i think) and i bought 9 years with out a ring, so im guessing im good for atleast 4-5 more. lol
im in no rush to tie the knot but i figured she has waited long time for it, and ive spent a lot of money on a ton of stuff for myself and she could care less, so i figured a big rock would make her happy. funny thing is, she would rather that big rock then a big boat. even funnier thing, im getting both. lol
