The reason they are still in business: people come and go in the performance car world. People hear that he has a dyno and they assume it's a great shop. A lot of young and inexperienced kids show up there. Typically, they get screwed over like everyone else. Especially if they don't work on their own car.
Last summer. I was ill and ended up there because it was close. I'm no kid - they did an okay job with my Trans Am back in 2002. But, it was just for tuning and a cat-back. Not feeling well prevented me from doing some things on the car. Fortunately, I'm working on the car myself this summer.
Observations:
1) Their customer service is the worst anywhere - they do not return phone calls, the people are rude and disrespectful, promises are consistently broken, the labor prices are outrageous and unjustified, and most of the folks working there are not qualified.
2) There is always some chaos that is shaking the business up - shady characters and shady deals are a big conflict.
3) They will sell your used parts on Ebay if you don't ask for them. I even asked and never got back a few things that I wanted.
4) They lifted my car improperly and bent the rockers - they never told me about it until I just discovered it recently.
5) The shop is violating state law by not properly giving the customers an accurate estimate.
6) Being double-billed is a common practice and getting a breakdown on the labor is like pulling teeth.
7) There is no regard for your timeframe - your car could be stuck there for months. Sometimes a tune takes 2 weeks.
8) There are no thanks for your business.
9) My car was and is improperly tuned.
10) The owner claims to have worked with Steeda, Ford and big-time shops and tuners around the country - I call BS.
11) I don't know the story behind the black Fox-body Mustang - but, it's still there.
12) I had to return my car to them several times for repairs that would be considered easy in other shops. Yet, they kept screwing up.
13) They claim to be a restoration shop too. Of what quaility and to what extent?? Putting in a new carpet does not qualify you to be a restoration specialist.
14) Be prepared for stripped bolts and helicoils.
15) Many prices on parts are through the roof!
16) The owner will try to sway you to add on a lot of things you do not need.
Quite honestly, there's more but I'l;l keep it to myself. I'm not a mean-spirited person and I wish them no harm. However. the best thing for them would be to go out of business ASAP.

I agree with all the above statements. Hell I still think that the tune they put in my car, that was only in it for about 3000 miles, is why my stock shortblock fell apart as soon as I put a set of heads on it. Car was so lean when it left them that it actually went slower with headers then it did without.....
Like I said before, I wouldn't let that guy tune my lawnmower.

99Andrew- my dad took his SS there about 10 years ago to get gears installed and they did the same thing when putting the car on the lift, bent the rockers and my dad didn't notice it till he got home. They didn't take any credit for doing it. The car was brand new at the time!

Like all the above have mentioned, those guys are hacks. Nothing that comes out of that shop ever runs like it should, and I personally know about 5 or 6 motors they have built that grenaded shortly after start up, or while on the dyno for "tuning", if that's what they call it. Wouldn't let those idiots even do an oil change, they would **** it up for sure.

op did you get your tuning issues sorted out by someone else?
i have a tune that i pulled from a 06 gto ls2, that they did.
flatlined the the ho spark table with 4 degrees of additional spark at wot.
no maf or ve tuning.
i believe he removed cags, and speed limiter.
disabled some codes LOL.
i believe the fudged the dyno numbers to show 400rwhp also with just headers cai and fast 102 lol.
the poor guy over there couldnt get the fan's speed adjusted for the 160 t stat.
when i logged this vehicle, it had knock under 4500rpm.
unacceptable for any vehicle imo.
i know the gto is running around fine up to today, but i laughed at what he charged his customer vs what he actually did.
450 for a **** tune.
there is one fellow that is in ct that i know who is extremely efi knowledgeable, has a clean shop, top notch equipment and great staff that could make a major impact for ct guys that need tuning.
but the problem is he tunes imports!!!!!!.

Fella I'm taking about is Paul from Windsor locks
Shop is pristine
They tune mainly suburaus evo's gtr's
Funny thing is I did see a twin turbo mustang in the shop
It was red
Had 20's on it
But it was a customers car being tuned with sct
