if i didnt HATE crapital i might make it out to one of these. Just always SO ghetto and just long *** lines and so few runs.

MIR is so much nicer than Crapital.

Just my .02

BTW did you know Top Gear raced at Crapital in the rain?

well yes i much prefer MIR...but most these guys won't travel that far. It's pretty much equal distance to both tracks for me...more fun to run with people you know or should i say at capital more fun to sit in staging lanes with people you know. lol.

That is sweet! Never knew top gear went to capitol must have missed that episode

I watch it too much....

But the lanes at crapital are so BS... one guy will blow up on the track and its hours of sitting in a line you cant get out of.... Funk that ****!

Maybe do a weekend test and tune day at MIR? I wont be running my wheel hop machine but might be willing to make it down to MIR for a saturday or sunday...

I may make it this Friday, work in Beltsville so it's easy to bring the car with me & head over after work. Have not been to Capitol in over a year, I'm sure Fridays are same as always. Weather & several other factors will decide.

I'm interested in going, but it's up to the other half a few posts up (Stevo). It's definitely not the track to go to unless there is a group for the reasons stated. Why doesn't anyone hit up 75-80? It's farther north than MIR and surely less ghetto than Capitol. We went last summer and had a pretty good time. The shut down area IS kind of a corn field and the elevation isn't as good, but you certainly get more runs in as it's less crowded.

Anyone here ever cut a good 60 foot @ capital on DR's? When I say good I mean something in the 1.3 or 1.4'ish range.

It leaves a lot to be desired, but so does Capitol. I thought it was a neat place though and I'd go back certainly. The bf and I are only a little more than an hour from MIR so that's very lucky and we always end up there.

Doesnt capital run downhill?

My two favorite Crapital memories:
1)after them shutting down due to a spill for 2 hours watching two giant black guys start fighting over the couple hundred they had riding on their race and one of em pulling a gun......

2)Near funny car green camaro(body over tube chassis) lost it and went head first into the jersey wall where the gap is for walking(hit the end of the wall head on) and came to a immediate stop from near 100mph. Felt bad for the guy but was astonishing to watch.

oohh me next. Dude riding a wheelie in the staging lanes. Dumps it, no helmet, head smacks ground and dies on the scene.

I run mainly at Cecil. Assuming Capitol is down south in MD?
