Update on the transam
First up pressure testing the cooling system. Went out spen 100 bucks to get a kit and hooked it up to the overflow and started pressurizing the system. As soon as I pumped it coolant came out the radiator cap. I thought ok maybe its not pose to hold pressure but then though wait to pull fluid in when it cools it needs a vacuum.
Long story short cap was bad on my brand new when motor was install rad. Got a new Gm cap pressure tested again held no problem. So I don't have a blown head gasket and most likely the reason for my over heating was the cap this whole time.
Now getting what I hope was a bad MAP sensor and see if the code in the pcm for map and throttle sensor goes away.
If I didn't have bad luck id have no luck I think lol.
Drove it 20 or so minutes around town and the guage went up to the 210 mark in car which is like 240 in the pcm. Stopped and touched the intake and it felt cool. Used a temp gun 210 coming out 200 going in rad was 160s. Maybe the pcm part of the sender is bad????
Going to replace the other one with a spal as well. Well worth the cash.
