what do they do for emissions in MD? In CT they supposably just check for codes and apparently use mirrors to see if you have cats.

Yeah same in MD. They only sometime bring out the mirrors though. You would have to get someone that is 100% by the book though. You might be ok, I know the people that work there don't give a **** about their jobs so they probably wouldn't care but if their boss is there then they might. Years ago they had rollers you had to drive on and this tube they would attach to your exhaust. when I was kinda stock ( I could go on the rollers) they couldn't figure out how to attach the tube to my exhaust tips so they just passed me. Once I got modified I couldn't get on the rollers and they just pass me. Now I know someone that works there and I don't even have to take my car up there, just the slip for him to sign.

plenty of shops around the danbury area that wont visual check you at all.

In ct, OBD2 they just scan the computer, make sure your check engine light isnt on, and make sure the OBD monitors are set.

Any good tuner can set the monitors and program emissions stuff out to pass right through

Good to know thanks for the info guys. The check engine light is not on. As far I know the emissiom stuff has been tuned out. They told me I failed the emissions because I have no cats. So that leads me to believe if I show up with cats it should pass. I just want to make sure high flow cats are excepted.
