Garage Door Lesson learned
Garage Door Lesson learned For all you guys who are able to keep your car in a garage. I learned a good lesson this weekend. Replace your torsion spring every 7-10 years. Mine broke just when i needed to get my car out. Meaning locking the ca inside the garage. Luckily after a friend came by Saturday we were able to manually pick up the door to get the car out. But more importantly. Torsion spring are not for sale at Lowes or Home Depot they consider them too dangerous to install. End up ordering mine from online. To have someone come out and do it for you is between 250 and 300 dollars. I need new shocks so that wasnt an option. Im getting them delivered for 120 shipped. Just sharing my lesson learned hopefully I wont have to deal with it again for atleast 7 more years.
