Thumbs up

Nice, I like those cars.
You can make some good power with the right bolt on mods/tuning with those too, the blower is relatively small but the potential is still there.
Congrats.

ok im gonna chime in here bc i owned one.
the car is ALOT of fun if your going with a nice DD setup and want to beat most cars on the road i would do a 2.7pulley with cooling mods and boltons. i was able to make a lot of ppl go home with their tail between their legs haha.

if you wanna destroy some really quick cars like cammed ls1s and stuff...save your money on the pulleys and stuff and go straight for a TVS blower. youll need it to keep up with the evo's and cars with turbos in the top end.

so basically TVS blower + boltons with cooling mods.
no need for the option B. just get the dual pass endplate from zzp and a heat exchanger stage 3 from zzp. and do yourself a favor and get an Injen intake it fits ALOT better than zzp's intake

if you have any questions shoot me a PM ill help you out

Did you own an LS1 prior to this Cobalt?

The '06 model is supercharged right?

How does the Cobalt compare to your Camaro? (if you did own one prior)

Well the last camaro I owned ran 10.20 on motor lol

I got this car to save some money on gas, I got rid of my TBSS for it.

I wanted a fun little car and it had to be American and I didn't want to spnd more than 10,000 it fit that perfect

Very cool little cars. I still have no idea why ricers spend thousand of $ on ghetto rigging a turbo set-up for their Civics, Corollas, whatever when they can pulley a supercharged Cobalt and run 102-105+ MPH trap speeds.

How much is a decent TVS set-up?

I like how you could get recaros and brembos in a cobalt but not a vette. Sweet little cars...always liked them. They had a pretty good time at the ring if i remember correctly. I'd rock one for a daily.

I just rode in that car a few hours ago. It moves pretty good, and you know how Ron drives LOL. Nice blower whine too.

Glad to hear you found one Marco. They're full little cars for sure. I've managed to keep my '07 stock somehow.... for now. I'm averaging 32mpg with a little fun now and then. Can't complain with that!

It sure took sometime to find one lol

I already ordered the AEM filter so I can do the airbox mod lol.

I drove 2 of them that had cold air intake and pulley and they were much more fun then then stock. Hearing that blower whine just reminds me of the Lightnings and 03/04 cobra

How are they in the snow? I assume with a set of snow tires it should be decent, a friend of mine has one and doesn't drive it in the winter because he says they suck

Congrats Marco! Thats the same color and interior of mine.

Only the Turbo Cobalts had the Brembo brakes!

I have the poly engine mount and the torque damper and still get wheelhop. You need to run the poly trans mount but that puts way too much vibration for my taste.

The stock 18's DO suck in the snow which is why I run 16" Blizzacks all around in the winter.

Mine is still stock with just a k+n till I get some extra money.

Which are better to build off of? turbo or blower? Did the motor stay the same? TVS is the biggest blower available?

As far as which to build on the turbo's are direct injection and both are 2.0l. The s/c are 205/200 and the turbos are 260/260? My s/c put down 206.5/170.5 with just the k+n only. It's an either or situation. My friend had an 06 s/c that he turboed and had 400/328 fwhp. He got into the 12's but still had problems hooking up. He ended up selling it because it was ready to go boom! lol
