Parents went to look at there beach house in o.c not really sure what they are doing to it. It's bay side but pretty sure they are coming back today because it could get bad. I'm going riding out west tomorrow hope i get back before it gets ugly. Won't let this hurricane stop my planned day of riding.

Connecticut and Rhode Island expects to get center punched. I gotta close down our camper and have already bought extra food and water as they have stated in CT that we are expected to not have power for 3 days.

We will see.

Ok, you're right.

I need a new roof & siding & it would be great if the neighbor's houses got damaged also. (saves on gas for the trucks)

Is that better?

I went to the supermarket today to pick up a few last-minute "just in case" things (extra duct tape, batteries, extra water) and people were acting like it was the end of the world. The store was cleaned out of water, except for a few 6-packs of the expensive bottled water brands. The checkout lines stretched into some of the food aisles.

My biggest concern is the potential for our garage to flood. I will be caulking the garage door shut later today. But I have my booze so I'm good to go! lol!

The thing I can't believe is that this weekend is the Corvettes at Carlisle car show...which it rains for every year. I just can't imagine anyone taking their Corvette to the show this year. Not to mention that 90% of the vendors are just folding tables under tents.

My parents evacuated out of Cape May on Thursday afternoon. Their house is relatively new, but still, they're only about 2 miles from the ferry terminal. The back of their lot has some tall trees in it that I'm guessing will lose some branches. My hope is that the tidal surge doesn't go that high but I can almost gaurantee they'll have some roof damage and probably a broken window or two from tree damage.

It's been a tough year for my parents. Last winter my dad had a heart attack, he lost his mother a few months later, and now this. I think my mom is going to have a nervous breakdown.
