There is another rental going on the same day, so the track will be open. I'm not going to be there, didnt get the car finished.

When I called to make the reservation, they told me that it had been rented by a small group, and they were going to double stack us. I didnt have to pay a deposit, as the other group already had it covered. They just told me to show up, pay the 100 bucks, and run. So unless the other group cancelled, then it's still on. I just wont be making the 3hr drive to spectate.

Not a bad start at all. You get a vaccum pump on that motor, let it get a little more broken in.... loosen that converter up a touch so you can actually get it to flash to 5500 like that motor surly wants, and I'm sure it will see sub 9.50.

Ya put a sheet metal intake on that thing and it will see a good bit better then that... that 100 shot on it later on too it's really gonna come to life!

3350 the car's still heavy too. Get it down to 2900 where I figured my sled was going to be with it and I bet even with that intake that's on it, just the looser converter and vacuum pump the car will go 9.30 before you spray it.

And to think I had that motor for sale for a year..... you drop it in your car that's not even that light and it runs that good on the 3rd hit, thing's not even broke in yet, no vacuum pump, converter's too tight... and you're shifting it probably 500 to 700 rpm earlier then it wants....

Hey guys, this is Jim, the guy who you all paid for the rental. Glad everyone made it out... we (757GOAT) do our rentals twice a year, so I'll make sure I post it up here in the spring when we do it again. Hopefully I'll have my car there in the spring so I'm not sitting, watching everyone race.

I've got a couple pics and videos, I'll post a link once I get them uploaded

Yeah, it would have been cool for a few laughs, but not for $100. At least I got to make a couple passes in my buddy's GTO towards the end, so I got a little taste of the track
