Even extra point attempts aren't a given, some of those get blocked or shanked, so a short feild goal attempt with almost no time left isn't a gauranteed win.
Was the Bradshaw fumble fortuante/lucky, yes, but that's the way things work sometimes.
Fact is both games were close, with closely matched opponents and it was going to come down to who made fewer mistakes, and who was going to be able to capitalize on the opponents mistakes.

Whistle blew on the Bradshaw play. Guys getting stood up and bent over hears a whistle, holding onto the ball is his least concern after whistle is blown.
Pats FORCED that field goal attempt because that rookie DB kept playing and knocked that TD pass out of recievers hand.
Giants getting a call in THEIR FAVOR is a problem now? Lol![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)
F*cking WORST calls all year going against them.

Hey since we talking about this, does anyone know what the actual rule is for a pass that's caught in the end zone to be completed and counted as a TD?
Take that Raven would be TD for example
My understanding is that if a ball is caught, 2 feet down, knee, hip, elbow whatever the ball must be held on to through out the remainder of the play, even if the player is knocked out of bounds. Have they changed that rule?
Now, if the player posesses the ball in the field of play, all thats needed is to break the plane of the goal line-thats a given BUT if the players FIRST posession of the football takes place in the endzone, via a catch, fumble recovery etc-he must maintain posession throughout the play.
I've heard the Raven reciever (forget his name) did in fact get 2 feet in and caught the ball, I never thought the 2 feet was in question-he DID catch the ball, he DID get 2 feet down-I thought they did not get credit for reception because he was separated from ball before play was over and whistled dead.
So what is it?

Doesn't get reviewed upstairs unless its a called a TD on the field.
They only review "scoring plays".
There was nothing to review in the first place as my understanding of the rule would tell me that since the ball posession was not maintained after the catch is was not a TD.
That's why I was asking that-I wonder if anyone else will chime in.
Call could not have gone "either way" cause it wasnt a TD at all if I understand the rule correctly.

Found this interesting. http://deadspin.com/5878309/did-lee-...for-the-ravens
Now inside of 2 minutes are they still replaying "scoring" plays or any close play? and who determines "close".
