i like the fact ps3 got blue ray and i hear the graphics are better but xbox360 got kinect which looks cool and i hear from some that they like online gaming better for those of you that played the two consoles which is better?

I'm kind of in the same boat though I think i'm going to go with a PS3.

As you mentioned, blue ray, and the online playing. Plus i just like the controllers better than xbox.

I'm used to playing Grand Theft Auto in PS format, don't really feel like learning new controls. Same goes for first person shooters and driving games.

Xbox 360 hands down .. yes you pay for online gaming but there's a good reason for that (it's better) .. Grand Turismo for PS3 was a failure, whereas Forza 4 is a much better game .. blu-ray is cool but you can pick up a player for under $100

XBOX 360. Forza Motorsport 4 is the greatest racing game ever and it's xbox exclusive. Forget the ps3. More people play online on xbox live. And even though you have to pay for xbox live, it's a far better service then psn.

i have both systems.
when choosing a system you have to look at games are only on one system. the 360 has Halo, Gears of War, and Forza. PS3 has Gran Turismo (thats really the only one i can think of, lol). games like madden and COD are going to be pretty much the same on both systems.
i like the 360 because the controllers fit my hands better. the PS3 does have blu ray but blu ray players can be had for $100 these days

I like my PS3 better. The controller don't feel right for the X Box360. PS3 gets my vote..

XBox. Although it sucks to pay a subscription... you can get it cheap if you look around

And whatever system you end up with. Do yourself a favor and buy Battlefield 3

Forza blows... The PS3 is a much more advance and more useful device. The Xbox is really only for the hardcore gamer, somebody who doesnt care about anything but games.

Forza blows compared to what? Gran Turismo 5 is the absolute worst racing game ever that took 10 years to develop, nothing like using cars/graphics from Gran Turismo 3

and spend $100 on a blu-ray player and then what do you have for the PS3 that's better? nothing..

The bluray in the PS3 is one of the best on the market, all of the others are slow and die out in a year or so. Forza just blows, if I wanted to play an arcade-like racing game I'd just go play Burnout. Gran Turismo isn't the greatest, not only does it look a thousand times better, but it definitely has a much better feel for realism than the Forza series will ever have. All games will be bluray formatted, giving the system a much more advanced future opposed to the Xbox's dvd format. Only recently have people been able to learn to code properly for the PS3 platform, rumor has it that the latest Uncharted game comes nowhere near the ability to put the entire systems resources to the test. Not to mention the the big PS3's are also SACD players.

PS3 > Xbox 360 all day every day

I own an Xbox though and would choose it any day over a PS3. Either way you look at it, it's old technology with (IMO) sub par graphics.

I dont play much but had both and the pos 360 got the rrod( that I barely ever used) so Microsoft will never see my money gain, Now I have a ps3 but I have to be honest I have GT5 which is a great game but I wish I could play Forza as well...and like the other guys have said online is free w/ PS3

I use to own a xbox but switched to ps3 if you are a hardcore gamer get a xbox they have more games but if u play once in a while get ps3

They're the same thing pretty much, buy whatever most of your friends have if you're gonna be playing online alot. If that's not the case then ps3= better entertainment system, xbox= better gaming console. Don't listen to any of the which has better graphics debate, that's a waste of your time

See the ps3 fanboys in here are neglecting to mention something. Because it is an "entertainment system" as they put it, you will have to worry about your girlfriend/wife/parents etc wanting to use it as bluray player. One of my buddies was a ps3 fanboy, but living at home his sister and his dad were always using his ps3 to watch bluray movies. Not to mention about 90% of his friends, myself included are xbox players. Finally he said screw it and bought an xbox. He now has both systems but spends the majority of time on his xbox. He was one of those hardcore "ill never pay for online" ps3 owners, till he actually got on live for awhile. Oh, and his ps3 account has been hacked twice, costing him about $300.
