UD pulley help
UD pulley help Hey everyone, I'm currently changing the heads and cam on my 02 SS. I'm putting the UD pulley back on and got it about a 16th of an inch away from being flush with the crank. Now the problem is if I keep running the old crank bolt in to get the pulley all the way on am I runnin the risk of snapping the bolt off in the crank? That's what I'm afraid of. I've been using a breaker bar and torque wrench, but would I be ok to put a longer pipe over the wrench for more leverage?
Using the old bolt is def. Not a great idea. A forum member here used to sell an install tool he came up with for 20 bucks. Threaded rod with a couple of soft washers and a large sleeve w/nut. It works the ***** and no risk of damaged threads in the crank snout. Check out the tools section. Id give u a link but itll take forever on my phone
