Default Picked up a EVO!!

After my 1 year search of a descent new daily driver, and going through four different cars, i found the one that i plan on keeping. It's a 03, 128k miles. Bone stock. The owner before me honestly can go **** himself. He tortured the damn thing, but Fortunatly didn't "Rice it up". I've been working on since i got back from work at around 6 'til 11, only cleaning it up! Soon to come: Bigger turbo, boost controller, boost gauge, and the usual full bolt on's. $15 bucks @ $3.40/gal put the needle at half tank, and i've been driving it all day and got down to a quarter. So gas miles aren't bad at all. I got pulled over for first time in it today. i had just pulled out of the car lot i bought it from, so that's not a good sign at all.

Looks clean. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? I was thinking of getting an Evo VI here in Japan, but couldn't find one that I like. I ended up with a 98 STI.

That's not bad at all! GC8 STI's are cheap as dirt out here in Japan... I picked mine up for $3100 with a newer engine in it. Boosts at 1.4 bar (around 20 PSI)... Sure is fun out here with all the snow. I would really like to run an Evo at a time attack or something to see how they stack up. They are cool cars, parts are just really expensive and hard to get for Evo's out here.

Looks like you have put some work in your car already with the exterior. Looks like a fun DD.

looks like a good car for what you paid.

I would go without the wing but keep it for later personally - you got pulled over without the wing on it ? if so wait till its back on lol. its your car though so whatever puts a smile on your face....

me and my wife & daughter run 4 door front drive regal gs's and gtp's for dailys with the 3800 sc 12.2 @118 was the quickest one of those Ive had so far so I get the whole modded daily driver thing its a disease.

I think I would have to buy something like a stock 4cyl auto NA cavalier for a daily to actually leave it alone....

i got rid of my supercharged cobalt for my evo, best decision ever. this thing is mad fun even on the stock turbo. really amazing cars all around and its completely night/day with my camaro. even tho they make close to the same power, the ls1 is a completely different animal. ls1 power kicks in so much harder and faster due to the v8. so its alot of fun having both being able to switch

I love this damn thing to death. Alot of work (10-12 hours) into it. Might take the wing of soon. What kind of boost gauge should i run that's the easiest to install and a good price, and at the same time looks real good. So far i ordered a hks SSQV bov, and working on the intake and exhaust (Please give me suggestions). I ordered the brembo stickers for the brakes, and taking off all the emblems off the trunk and installing the large "Evolution VIII" that runs accross the whole trunk. 25% tint on monday all around on monday. I should be making 350whp after the intake, full exhaust, BOV, and a tune. The turbo is good for more than 350whp @23-25lb's boost.
