Another point as to why I don't go there lol. McDonald's was a bunch of cool people an cool cars, not a kid beating his girlfriend, and a mob flipping a Honda and running from cops.

Gonna have to agree with this. This kind of crap doesn't help Long Island get a new dragstrip either.

im down to meet some new people. The club I used to be in was nice back in 06/07 but it slowly disbanded and I miss it. We used to meet up at ruby tuesdays on commack rd on friday nights. there would be about 50 of us and it never got to big or ruined by idiots, people just got older, got married, sold their cars etc. I wouldn't mind doing something like that

A guy in my f body club is gunna try and organize a Friday night tanner park meet. That's gunna be cool, for the nights I dot feel like driving all the way to belmore to a crowded lot.

Unfortunataly, the three main problems for a drag strip are:
Insurance must be thru the roof.
Since it is a big footprint it need to have a huge volume to be profitable.
Epa nightmare & the tree huggers protest it & most people aside from us car guys don't want it in their back yard.
All is my opinion but i am sure im not far off.

But your right, it probably wont happen. LI is full of yuppy infested, Starbucks drinking, iphone texting, hermit crab stuck up snobs that think racers are nothing but uneducated trailer trash.

The tree huggers are hypocrits. Calverton is pretty much vacant yet they have no problem with some guy wrecking almost 6 acres of trees to build low income apartments down the block from me in Nesconset. Plus, you can plant walls and trees around the perimeter to deaden the sound.

I know the guy who tried to do it & was shot down. Years of work & bs. I guess it also is hard b/c they would have to build more acess roads to get there. In the summer it is rough w/ traffic. They wanted to do a NASCAR track, housing, amusment park & other stuff w/ the drag strip. Years ago even Franz the NASCAR inc with no matter money could not make it happen, I think Trump too. So nothing is going to happen for a loooong tim if ever imo.

I forgot to mention the meet that was tn!!! Every wed there is a meet at the bellmore train station mostly ricers but a couple of my friends come with there camaros and such but more american the better!!!! And its not a douche bag crew everyone is respectable

There's a meet every Wednesday at advanced auto in Hicksville for f bodies. Also, lifbas monthly meet up of f bodies is this Sunday, at 12, Applebee's parking lot on 110. (by the multiplex) you guys should
