Default LT1 Cam Install

I have a cam, valve springs, and 1.6rr's I would like to have installed in my 93 Trans Am, hopefully next month sometime...

I have a garage to do it in, just a single family home 2 car garage, not that big, but it's better than outside, right?

Im looking to pay $300, I'm located in Olney, MD...

PM or Text 3018018394.

Name is Kyle, thanks!

I HIGHLY doubt you will find anyone to do it for 300 bucks. Thats a lot of work.

I second that. You are going to have a real tough time finding a reputable shop (if they will even work on LT1's) or someone with LT1 experience to do a cam swap for under $900.

Thanks for the negativity everyone. I wasn't looking for a shop to do it, I was looking for somebody trying to make a little money on the side

Save your dollars, do it yourself, then think about how awesome it was you saved 300 which most will be going for a dynotune/chip burn (93's only).

People laugh at 300$ because its simply not worth the aggrivation, and thats if everything went absolutely perfect. You think most people want be trying to do springs on the car and hoping not to have a set back!

One example, that timing cover is a PITA and more often then not you get a leak out of the cam/waterpump drive if you dont have it on dead straight but the issue is the bottom of the cover needs to go on first at an angle. You can drop the pan down.... but you see where this is going. It's a lot of work.

I've been paid 200$ to just put on Long tubes on a LS1 and thats a cake walk compared to this.

Wish yea the best of luck, I would think more people would be willing just to help (for free) vs being looked at like hiring help. As soon as something breaks, since you took money, you need to deal with it. If your doing it for free, its different.

I'd help you out, but you're a little far from me...

Good luck, finding anyone willing to work on LT1s is becoming rarer and rarer these days. You're definitely better off doing the work yourself, its not too bad.
