Too bad your not closer to CT. From the pictures it looks like the clear has wicked dye back ( Dull and cloudy looking) Only way to get the out is to wet sand it all.

Buffing without sanding will not take the dye back out, it wont flatten the surface or get the peel out at all. It will make a tad shiner thats about it.

Starting with 1500 is fine if you know how to color sand paint. Hit the dirt nibs with 1500 on a tiny block, and use 2000 to knock the peel out, Then i would use 3m Trizact 3000 grit on the D/A sander Wet, it will make buffing it much quicker and easier and will get a better finish

Thanks for the tips.

Yeah, the paint job is extremely glossy and has no reflection.
