Thanks guys !on the headlights I wet sand them with 800 then 1200 then 1800 then buffed them out with presta compound and then swirl remover , on the engine I don't know I can't imagine other than they had hit and run over a curb and bent the subframe may have damaged the oil pump ? Never know ,, 74k n the miles sorry on the rims but they are going to good use

Presta is Awesome but you have to follow the steps and buffer rpm to a "T" and use the correct pad with the corresponding compound/sealer/wax Follow the steps and the results can be spectacular !! you are correct Dark colors can be the hardest but the system works.

Holy moly - Nice job Bob! I hadn't seen you (in person or on the forums) in a long while and I was thinking I recognized your screen name from the 3800 days and then I put two and two together with Murph being active here too. I have the red 96 Z you did a bunch of body work on 2-3 summers ago up at Portsmouth Ford (I think).

What are you up to these days? What a great present for the wife!

Brian

yes I know to follow the color code on the bottle to the pad as well as rpm range recommendations - I just felt like I could grab the Pro products I have used for years and have things looking right with less effort , no issues getting finishes to come back and shine with Presta just seemed to have to keep "chasing it around" to get all angles free of signs I had been there...

Hey Brian , Pat popped in this thread earlier too all kinds of NE Pontiac guys in here now
