I have a 2001 trans am and I am looking to put BBK headers on it. I've talked to some people in my area and they told me it can't be done it will fail inspection. This is all new to me and I'm not sure what direction to go?

I'm pretty sure as long as you have cats, just about any shop should pass. If you have an ORY or some other cat-less exhaust, you're going to need to get codes tuned out and a shop who will hook you up with a sticker. Not at all impossible, just ask around. Could probably even get away with going to some shady inner city shop, explaining what you need, and kicking them a few extra bucks to hook you up.

Who do you plan on for the tune? Not sure who you might have, if anyone, that's close to Oswego, but New Era is here in Rochester, and they can tune out any codes for you as well. That's where I'll be going when I do mine as soon as this stupid snow goes away and I can get my car back to my garage.
