Default Got Bored

Wanted to see if it would be something I like before committing to paint. Kinda digging it. A semi gloss might be just right?

Looks good. I think the Original CETA was a flat black or matt color there. I wish I had done mine in a Matte finish

I actually preferred the gloss black on my car since it matched the tail lights better. My car previously had the flat black paint and it didn't look right. Flat black also is more prone to sun fade.

Thanks for the input, its growing on me. I do prefer shiny things , so not sure if If could go flat black with it, thats why I was thinking a semi gloss.

I think the CETA's as a semi-gloss as well, not sure, from pictures on google it looks fairly glossy. I could also pick a darker shade of gray with a gloss to get a better transition instead of strait black. It might be black plasti-dip but the matte kinda gives it a gray overshadow.

what do you guys think visually if I change nothing on else on the car to tie it in, that still look ok? (not sold on stripes and picky on colored wheels)

I was always a fan of gloss black CETA with the gloss black Blackbird stripes on the hood.

Love it Dano! Go for it in gloass though I really like that.

--Side note, if you did that in plasti dip if you go to dipyourcar.com they sell a glossifier that will make it look gloss black and still be able to peel right off

im a fan...have had mine done since 04 and dont regret it one bit. one of the best appearance mods we can do to our trans ams. i have a Matt finish on mine...looks good to me...i think the gloss black would look wayy to busy back there. atleast on a red car i think it would.

Cool thanks for the info.
I might try that. It is plasti-dip, I had a hard time peeling the tape in a few spots so its far from perfect in a couple spots, If I go with the glossifier I might respray it again.

Since I was torn on gloss/matte I was thinking semi-gloss if I ever paint it for real.
