Default John Elway

John Elway, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Broncos' flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity, John," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." John felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up to the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a three story mansion with a black and gold driveway, a 50 foot flagpole with an enormous Steelers banner and a Big Ben "7" on it. And in every window, a Terrible Towel. John looked at God and said "I do not mean to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 2 Super Bowls, and even went into the hall of fame." God said "So what is your point John?" "Well why does Ben Roethlisberger get a better house than me?" God chuckled, and said " John, that's not Ben's house, that's my house."

another Jets fan here I see.....

Of course I want to see the Jets win...but if they don't..then I hope it's either the Colts or Atlanta, because I can't stand the rest of them (for various reasons).

i think the jets-steelers game is going to be a real good one with the jets coming out on top which is nice because the steelers are the only team in the playoffs to beat the patriots, which is who i pick to win the super bowl. and maybe after 3 super bowls wins everyone will stop calling it a fluke.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think Peyton is going to tear up the depleted secondary of NE. I would rather face NE in the AFC Champoinship game than the Colts. Oh yeah, no way in hell the Jets come to Pittsburgh and beat the Black and Gold. At least I hope not or it will a long drive home.

you know peyton may have a fun with the secondary but they are not going to be able to run the ball against NE which is going to make it harder on peyton and i think that NE's offense is going to have a lot of fun with the colts deffense. so it comes down to the fact that the colts have a very high powered offense but a somewhat lacking deffense and the patriots have a offense that is a little less powerfull that the colts but even with there secondary out still have a hell of a lot better defense, i am saying that it will be a good game, close to but i think the pats will come out on top. and as for the steelers-jets that will be even closer.

The Colts tucked it up the Bronco's butts scoring 49, but it was INDOORS!! This week, by weeks end and gametime, it's gonna be cold as hell up here in New England and this will be a "bullet hits the bone" game. "New England faces Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship." (I hope...) And Cory Dillon will be healthy this time....WJ

I think the Patriots -COlts game will be a good one. Peyton may tear up the Pats secondary with Ty Law out, but Brady will do a number as well. The Colts haven't had to play the caliber of teams like the Patriots or the Steelers so I feel the Pats will win. The Colts won't be able to run away with it. With the Steelers offence and defence healthy now, Jets don't stand a chance. Jets better bring a notebook because they are about to get schooled...The last time we played the Jets, we came off a hard and gruelling game against the Jaguars. We had 16 players on injured after that game. We didn't have Plexico or Duece and our defence was banged up as well. Chad will get to know Joey Porter pretty well by the end of the 4th quarter. Put is this way, most of the teams that are in the play offs have already been beat by the Steelers this year. Buffalo couldn't even beat our second string team because the depth of the Steelers this year. Rothlisburger is no joke. He makes things happen. If Maddox was the QB then it would be a different story. Never the less, hopefully the games will be as exciting as they were last Saturday. How much better could it get then with both games on the line with seconds left and being 4th and goal...

Yeah, In the San Diego--Jets game, it was like neither team wanted to win with the amount of dumb plays both teams were making....I think Herm Edwards and Curtis Martin are 2 of the classiest men in the NFL, also. One thing about the Steelers past....they've managed to lose alot of the big games under Bill Cowher....Also that rookie Steelers quarterback has not made any rookie mistakes to date....let's hope he's not saving a couple of big mistakes for the Playoffs... That's just what makes it scary--don't think that won't be going thru HIS mind all week, either...The Playoffs and Superbowl are something he's NEVER experienced before. We'll see how he handles it.... WJ

I hope Ben can hold up under the playoff pressure.

WJ brings up a good point about Dillon being healthy now. He missed the regular season game against the Steelers. I just don't see anyone running on our D, especially at Heinz Field. It should be a good weekend for football nonetheless.

Since the 1st SB that the Pats won, which I bet against the Pats, I always bet my boss the home teams will lose, & I lose.

Today I bet $20 the Colts will win.

We shall see...

BTW, between last 4 games of the playoffs & the series, I lost $80 to my boss.

Best $80 I ever lost!

BTW latest line Steelers are 9 point favorites... Patriots are 2 point favorites because of home field. That is going to be a good game to watch...
