On the last ATV I had, it came with a 20 x 10 x 9 tire.. I went to a 22 X 12.5 X9 blackwater tire.. worked fine. the tires bulged a little bit out from the rim, but I never had a problem with any leaks or anything.... you'd probably be fine. Just ask the place that you bought the ATV at.. they probably will know.

nozyee what quad do you have? I hope not a sport quad cause there are a lot better choices out there for them for peformance. I have had many mud tire's icluding blackwater's and muddshark's and there are alsome on 4x4s just not worth it on a sport quad if you are a hard rider.

it all depends on your driving style. if you do a bunch of jumps and hardpack, go sport tires such as holeshots. if you do some mud/trail riding, get something more aggressive. noyzee- dont forget to keep your stock rims. your gonna need em if you ever change your mind and wanna sell the setup you have now.

Dogger, i think Qwik has a point, i was riding with a kid with a 450, he had hole shots, he didnt do so good in the trails we where on.lol 99% or my riding is in the woods, rocks, mud, streams, snow ext ect. i think the aggresive tire is better for me.
Im going to keep the stocker, mainly for a backup. im sure oneday i will get a flat, and if so and im 3 hours away, i'll throw them back on. hell they have only been ridded on about 4 times. lol

oh yhea, dogger, i have a Z 400 Suzuki. 05

nice bike nozyee my buddy got one and she move's quit nice down trail's. I ride a 350x or one of the r's (got three 250r's by now) were I ride rock's and roots are the problem on hillclimb's. any tire with big lugs pretty much will put the bike on the edge of flipping on hillclimb's.we might have to make a road trip some time and go riding I'm alway's up for a ride when I get teh time.

yhe, the trails we do, i found my bike would wheelie or spin and get stuck. i figure with a better tire that wont get stuck, i wont have to Hammer the **** out of it to try to make it up.
we'll see, either way 50 bucks a tire isnt to bad, if they suck, i'll get a different set. we'll see. lol
anytime, alway looking for new guys to come along, we have a great time!

noyzee, a wise investment may also be a winch if you find yourself getting stuck alot. avoids some and downtime on the trails. i wouldnt get it until you realize you definately need it. thats the two things i wish i did to my lakota, mud tires and a winch. it should be a monster with those mud lites though. good luck

No winch, cant do that on the sport bike. dont look right, it would be nice tho. hhmmmmmmm
the tires arnt the mud lites, i saw those, but they where alot heavier, i got the mud sharks, they have a different tread pattern, 4 ply, and are an 1'' taller for more clerance and also 2'' wider! they should work well i hope
