I have some pals that think that more than just heads & cam work was done.
Are they right?

Fireball doesn't strike me as one who would bullshit about his setup.

Didn't say he did. Just passing on that some others I know are raising the BS flag for a 10.4 run with just a heads & cam setup.

10.4 is hard to believe, however if you have a setup that works very well, and a car that hooks well and tracks straight, then its not just HP taking down the track, its a compleat setup which most people dont have. the people calling bs are probably the people with HC setups that are making close power but not even close to the times. those people need to stop looking at dyno #'s and look into a better "set up" suspention is huge, weight is huge, driver skill is huge, and not many have the hole package.
congrats man, no matter what there will always be some haters, but congrats.

its still a 346 (stock pistons/rods/crank) No forged internals, no special balancing, just freshened up bearings, rings, and rod bolts (7000 rpm puts a hurting on those parts)

I put in new rings using a craftsman glazebreaker to roughen up the cylinder walls

Other than that...LSX intake, Dynatech headers, and the usual compliment of boltons

I use off the shelf S2 GTP 5.3L heads and a Thunder Racing off the shelf Trex cam

I'm with you 100% Noyzee. There will always be haters out there. Fireball your setup and times rock! To achieve that with a M6 also! You drive the hell out of your car! Congrats!

Pete (BSPZ28) went well into the 10's, and so did several Cartek Vettes.

There are going to be many more well into the 10's this year..

Great driving man. People dont realize how important it really is. I would put money on it that if you put him in most of the other H/C cars on this board they would run quicker and faster.

Did anybody else notice that the dodge pickup was flying?
Fireball What did the truck run?
