I used to own a 2000 Firebird Formula, which I loved dearly.
Went shopping for a replacement, rear-wheel drive LS1 based AMERICAN MADE car and was dismayed to see what utter garbage that GM was putting out! Just because you put a "SS" badge on a car, doesn't mean performance!
I went to the NY Auto Show today- and your booths made me sick. You glorified the "small block" with a display and an engine dyno, but all you SS's were puny, FWD jokes.
The only two vehicles that were nice was the Z06 Vette (sure to be priced beyond most) and the SSr- which is a TRUCK.
I now drive a Mustang, and will NEVER buy a GM product again.. my next car will be a SVT Shelby.
I've even seen sketches of Concept Camaro's on the internet- but NO ACTION on your part.. you (at GM) are becoming the domestic Hyundai!!!

you really have issues Bob. GM doesn't give a flying **** what you or anyone else wants as far as performance RWD cars go. They will never go out of business either way. Just get on with your life and stop dwelling on it. Every new thread you make is trashing GM. Why don't you go picket or something outside corporate headquarters and leave this BS off the boards. It's ok to talk about it but dam..you take it to the next level.

i dont necisarilly agree with all the decisions GM has made over the last few years, but im not going to sit here in bash them, remeber allthough we may not like what GM is putting out car wise, the other 99.7% of the country may, and if there selling the cars thats really what they care about, not satisfying a few hundred people on a webboard. i mean i hate to say it, but i bet those monte carlos, impalas and other fwd vehicles are selling better then the fbodys did.

ding ding ding!..You nailed that one right on the head. GM is selling their "stupid" SS vehicles and alot of other FWD family cars. This is why they're still making them.

The Chevy and Pontiac booths (at the Auto Show) were desolate.. while Ford, Cadillac and even Saturn got more attention, and GM stock is at 26 from like 76 a share.

you guys are lucky, up in Canada, the GTO is illegal, so what do i have to work with, god forbid my camaro goes down? I want a 05 gto if anything ever happend to my camaro and i cant buy it! errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
