Who do you guys recommend in North Jersey to work on Ls1's. I'm looking for a good place to get a head and cam package and to have them install it. I see CArtek has some good looking packages, anyone get them and how do you like it?

You've seen correctly.
I have quite a few friends/acqaintences with Cartek heads and cam (among other) packages on their cars, they're all fast (with proven track times) and they're all quite reliable for the power levels they are making.
They've done most of the work on my car and their level of expertise is very high.

My vote is for Cartek.
They have everything right there on the premises.
Chassi Dyno, Head Porting, Flow Bench, Injector Balancing, Cam Doctor type analysis equipment, Welding and Fabricating, State of the art CNC operated machines, Pipe Bending, Engine Assembly, tons of (positive) experience and one of the (if not the) best tuners in the country.

No one else has, is or ever will touch my car. I ran an old CARTEK H/C set up. Tey were 98 heads and a tiny tiny cam. Ran 11.3 @ 122 with it almost 3 years ago. NOw I have a newer set up and LOVE IT!

Cartek does consistantly deliver a quick ET but its a few extra bucks.... worth it to most. I'd say products are top notch with typical NNJ friendliness.
