I was looking at a GTO last year when my car went in for service they are comfey I didn't like the exterior look and the price but that's changed a bit the new hood looks nice and the price droped alot. But our next car is going to be all wheel drive and I'm keeping the Hawk.

I didn't like the body style either but when I saw one in person I could really appreciate the subtle styling. There are parts of my SS I like a lot more but then there are sections on the GTO I think look better.

I love the GTO! Espically the LS2 model!

When I had to move Mike's GTO Sat. night. to another spot in Don's driveway, I was gone for 30 minutes..... And his car is an auto! I would hate to see the result of being in a M6!

I like the GTO because of it's comfort. The 1998 F-Body was an overhaul of the 1997. It still looks, rides and all of the parts fit like a car from that era. The GTO is an awesome car in my eyes, prob one of the best sports cars to come from GM in a long long time.

I don't want the GTO to run 9's, if I can run a 12.00 with Nitto's consistently I'll reach my goal.....a wicked comfortable, well manner street car that can take 99% of daily drivers. I'm not looking to purchase a GTO for the same purpose of your got you Z28. The F-Body is a much better car for racing but how often do I race, twice a year? I'm not buying a car I hope to have for years on end for 2 days out of a year.
Driven one no, sat in one yes.

A shot across the bow of the "Tomato" now you've hurt my feelings

It is not a driver any more it is a race car that sees street duty

Guess I'm just shallow and superficial but I can't get past the looks no mater how "wicked comfortable" or "well mannered" it is

I'm not trying to douse the Tomato. I like your car, it's a sweet setup for what it is, it goes in, gets the job done and blows a few parts along the way (kidding kidding). I don't see too many LT1's buzzing around either which makes it a little nicer.

I like the GTO, it's the type of style I like; a car I can mess around with at the track but more so something I can buzz around town in and take down others. It’s a fun car for everyday driving. It’s quick with just a few mods and you enjoy driving around in it. Either the looks haven’t grown on you or you like sports cars with more aggressive styling.

Low blow. The outside with rims and the 05 hood is like a cheese pizza with 2 toppings, the bone stock interior is a pizza with everything!

Pretty impressive setup......

Looking for 11.40's on motor,Built for N20 but the customer is not sure he wants to hit it with a shot,I built it for a 200 shot (We run a FAST/T-Com too)

Should go 10.40's on the juice,I must talk him into it over the winter

If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck (or drives a GTO) it's generally a duck Hey No-Neck that goes for you too....trash can my ***

JS,
Thanks, the scales vary but it weighed between 3776-3814 lbs with me in it before I did some weight reduction over the winter (not me the car )

Ok, put rims on a stock GTO and I think it looks awesome. Nothing else is needed. I like plain looking cars with just a little bit of clean style.

Easy

Hey, I just got back from taking a beat run in a new 05 Mustang GT M5 (a guy at work has one) and while I was wailing on it I noticed a pontiac behind me and didn't think much of it so I slowed down and let him catch up and whalla it was a 2004 GTO so we each got on it and stayed even till about 120 when I started pulling away from him, got to about 130ish and let off it as it wasn't my car and I was running out of fourth gear.

Man that was fun.
