Default I am uninsurable

This is bullshit! I can't get the job as a mechanic because of my driving record. I had no idea it would have this kind of effect on me

Im in a world of hurt just paying my damn insurance every month ($450), and now I can't even get a job because of this bullshit?

That was all we were waiting on too, I would have had the job. Some good news is that I may be able to get some kind of a waiver... I dont know what it entails though. I have to get some special form faxed to me, fill it out and send it back. I have no idea what's on it though.

This is sucky. I really hope I can get a waiver but in the mean time I need to start brainstorming on what I'm gonna do for a living. damn

all shops have to insure their employees who drive cars- be it new or customer cars, and the insurance is much more strict as to who they'll insure, I heard my shops insurance wont cover people with more than 2 tickets in 5 years or something

We've been hearing from employers at school lately (Group 1 Auto, CarMax, Etc...) and they have all said that more than 2 tickets in the last three years or any DUI's in the last five will keep you from getting a job as a tech these days Sucks!

Best of luck though!

I am a step 30. 4 speeding tickets, 1 highway violation, 2 invalid inspection stickers, 1 major accident. I don't have any DUI's.

Although I haven't gotten a speeding ticket within the last year, I did get 1 of the Inspection sticker violations.

yeah i work at a dealer and i can vouch for the fact that its pretty hard to get a job there without a damn good record. luckily i only had one speeding ticket before i got the job. then i tacked on 2 more after i got it...... even after those two i think ill only be a step 20.

None of those big name insurance companies are available in Mass. Geico, State Farm, etc. It's stupid. My record would be the same though, regardless of what car insurance I have.
