CT Emissions

How do people with highly modified engines pass emissions? I'm sure people are running emission non-legal cams, so what is the secret? Another question, do you need to run EGR and AIR even without a visual inspection?

Easy to pass if your car is tuned right.

well from your signature it doesn't look like you have a cam....so I don't see a reason why you wouldn't pass? By the way, did you have the roller test or just the scan test?

Just the OBDII test. 98 and Up cars only have to do an OBDII test.

the rumor is the only way u can pass emissions in ct is by slowhawk's tune

I'm sure Ken's tunes would do it too (not knocking Don's, I've heard he's pretty good). If you're getting sniffed it just takes a really good tune. I've got a buddy down in TN that specializes in fixing up 'emissions tunes' for the LT1 guys in our club. Nothing you'd want to run at the track, but it does the trick for hydrocarbons
