Those 3 sentences are all that count JS. As long as your happy with what you have, don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise!

Enjoy your new car!

Why does everyone still think hes bsing? I am used car dealer and I'd love to take that car in as a trade in. Its not that hard to get rid of a 10 second 11,000 mile WS6 Trans AM...That car will bring 15k plus. Wholesale or retail that car will bring some $

14K to 15K I can see for my car but anything more than that will require time for a sale.I KNOW I couldve gotten 15 on Ebay but then I'd have to deal w/tire kicking asspipes comming to my house, calling me and bothering me

The car is really sold, the dealer was glad to take it and will try and move it on his lot (CASH OR CHECK) for a week and if it doesnt sell then Manhiem Auction will get it by next week...

The car is gone.......
Adam I wouldve loved to sell it to u but u werent offering the right $$$$
I even had guys on here looking at it for 13,500 but in the end I got 7% in TX on the car which made it a no brainer not to sell it.

I definitly believe it's sold..I used to work for manheim auctions and cars like yours would get scooped up in a second there. Mostly by specialty dealers or a dealer would buy it for his own personal use or for a friend. It won't last long.

While I don't necessarily agree with the move and can't honestly say that I would've done the same, I have spent enough time in '04 GTOs to admit that they are TRULY sweet rides overall so I sort of understand. If this is really true I mean.
Congrats Joel.

Congrats Joel. Glad to hear you've made the decision and are happy.

I've been kicking around the idea of trading in my car and getting a slightly used Vette, but I don't want car payments anymore for a toy.

My next car purchase will be an Audi A6 2.7T for a daily driver. I'll keep the T/A rolling on 19s for weekend backroad hunting, but still mod the Audi for more fun.

Marc,U have a driver that runs 12's..
Build my car,get a trailer,load/unload the car,put on and take off the slicks everytime/skinnies too, then get a truck to tow it with and pray it doesnt break (in my case $$$ if it breaks now)w/the power its making now.

My left leg is screwed up and its not getting any better, its hard for me to really do this work anymore.

I wanna run 12.70's,drive in and drive out

Not to mention,Maybe 3 passes on a crowded Thurs or Rentals costing 150 a shot..No thanks,I did it for 20yrs,This car ran the numbers and mightve gone what .10 quicker

My new Goat make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside everytime I start it.
Thanks Brian, dont beat up on me too bad

Hoping to change that soon, but not by too much.

I hear ya man, and it is for that very reason that I've never taken it to the next level, it's just not worth all the hassle.
I'm sure a really fast car is fun for sure but a comfy, quiet 12 second daily driver is a beautiful thing too.

I support the move...I know inside you'll be modding it a bit..cause its so easy. Nice cars, can sound and run nice for the civil car they are. I see one as a daily driver in my future...just w/ some forced induction.

Be careful you don't lose too much MPH with a convertor. I like the stock convertor a lot, its bigger then the FBody convertor for sure.

How much are Kooks for the GTOs? I have not seen them....

Sounds like a good plan to knock off 8/10s or so....

you are gonna love the goat!!

i ran 12.54 @108 mph with a z06 cam and converter and a good tune

not bad for a really nice daily driver with stock exhaust and no headers

enjoy bro !!

The right converter, long tubes, tuning and a tire will get an '04 GTO in the mid 12s for sure, even with high flow cats on it I bet.
Might even do it with the 'big guy' driving it too.
