I bought a GTO!!!!!!!! I did it,I went out today on a mission to buy a GTO.Wyoming Valley Pontiac was very nice over the phone and gave me just about what I wanted for my TA.
I looked at Silver,Red,Yellow and ended up with 2004 A4 Torrid Red/Black with the SAP kit installed and painted.I bought the car for $24500 and traded the F-car for $13,250 which I thought was a very fair deal.
I'm so happy that I finally took my head out of my *** and made a decision that was from the heart and mind.I must thank Slowhawk for tuning my TA so well and getting me that 10 Sec Slip and look forward to him helping me tune the Goat too.
This car will be a mock up of my buddy Walts Y2K C5 which runs 11.50@118 and remains a total street car.I know my car with me in it is alot heavier that his C5 but I hope to put together a TRUE STREET SETUP running Mid 12's while retaining stock like drivability.
Its finally over,I have my GTO and I am a very very happy guy....

Congrats Joel....I drove both the 6-speed and the A4 and i liked them both.
How do you like to ride quality compaired to the TA? I've been thinking of getting one for almost a year, but the Impulse blue is impossible to find. Although the Torrid red would be my second choice..Good luck.

I dont care if the GTO runs 14's I know I made the right decision...This car BLOWS AWAY A MY F-Car,No rattles or cowl shake,its rock solid and quiet and it pulls pretty good for a stock 3800lb car.
I sold my car for IMO a very fair deal when u factor in the TX I saved,I wouldve had to get over 14K for a car that would require a unique *** to purchase it.I dont care if they get 15,20 or 25 for the car but I dont think their gonna do better than 15 if u want my opinion.
I accomplished my goal with the TA----->10.80's@124.Its up there with the top 30 or so H/C cars on Tech and I feel very good about it especailly for a fairly mild setup.I'm 40 now and I wanna move in a different direction with my life,I want to sell my home in about a yr and buy a bigger one.I guess going to the track every weekend got boring to me and its $$$$$ to mantain a race car,I had countless passes on this car and I know sooner or later it was gonna cost me again.I was sick of rolling the dice and just wanted something more civilized.
I had so much fun today driving it and with the SAP kit the Torrid Red looks absolutely amazing.
I cant get the **** eatin grin off my face everytime I drive the car
Dont get me wrong I'm not saying everyone has to bow to my ideals,Race if it makes u happy.Ive done it for 20Yrs but I'm just not into it as much as I was at 20 or even 35.
I just wanted out and in my heart I'm SURE I made the right choice.Anyone thinking of getting a GTO should run out and get it ASAP.Its the best car I have ever owned and I've had cars that ran 9.50 to 14.00...
