They were Dicks when I bought my Jeep there. They tried to F*** me on some tires for the SS too. Ordered the tires then went to pick up the car, they were 245's not 275's. The guy gave me **** when I told him to put the stock F1's back on.

well they didnt exactly see the nos kit because im not bringing them the car but the tranny place i brought it to did. and they said even just the radials would be enough to void the warranty on the tranny and the rear end nevermind the nitrous. this sucks but whatever. it will be better when i get it.

You should have used my 10 spokes w/F1's on them. Nitto's void warranty? They are DOT approved tires. That's BS, I would threaten to get a lawyer. Or pay the $50 to have a lawyer give them a call or write a letter.

i second that wayne, that is no condition to void a warrenty. that place is f'n retarded for not putting tranny fluid in. this place just keep screwing you over. good luck wayne

How did the rear end go? Tranny at the same time?

They are trying to screw you because you are young and they think they can get away with it. Have them do the repairs on you're credit card, then stop payment through your credit card co. send a letter of complaint to DMV and Consumer protection. You will not have to pay. But remove the NOS kit first.

i have no clue exactly how or when the rear went but i started noticing that it wasn't pulling as hard off the line. then i heard noises coming from the back. but the good news is i have 3.23's not 3.43's. so now that i know 3.73's are going to make a bigger difference I am going to go with them. any suggestions on what brand gears to use. i am going to fix the ten bolt so i have something for lvd. then ill save for a 12 bolt or 9".

Yeah, now that you mention it, those tires are dot approved, i knew that already but it never occurred to me. that is right.

the 4l60e can be built pritty tough, i mean it wont hold like 600hp, but head and cam should be no problem. the th400 would handle the power but it would kinda suck to not have overdrive dont yah think? also the doesnt the 4l80e hold up to some good power levels and still have overdrive?

Wayne, those Auto's can be built to handle a lot of power. Dan is running a built 4l60E behind his 427.

well, i bought the tranny from b&m for 1100 built never used, not this "its a rebuilt unit with 43,000 mi." b.s.. i have heard of the 60's holding horse but all i saw on the boards were people compaining that they kept blowing those up.
my friend"s mom accidently power shifting clear through drive into reverse on the highway with a th400 and started spinning the tires in reverse going forward, then through it into drive and ran the tranny for another 10 months before she put it in her daughters car and ran another 100,000 miles. After i heard that and what others on the forum were saying, i bought one.
Mike Smith's Transmissions told me 1800 for a ring and pinion install parts and labor. Thats bullshit, my truck was only 600 when blew that and replaced the clutches and pinion etc. im picking the car up tonight. And someone saw them flying through main street in danielson talking on a cell phone while driving with 3 people in the car. Sound like a joy ride?
