Ken I truelly believe the kits worth a .10 and once I tune the car w/the headers, verter I think it'll be pretty nice.I wont go more than 3200 and I leaning towards a 2800 as I dont wanna ruin the beauty of this car.

That car with minimal work will go 12's, after that the fun factor may begin to slip

A Vig 3200 may still be the ticket. Keep in mind these cars have 3.4X gears so it should feel pretty tight. I think for me, I'm gonna go with a Vig 2800 though. I know what it feels like and it will be enough of a hit but not too much to the point that I would need a serious tire.

haha ! I'm 180 lbs and I have trouble sliding back there! Once I'm back there, its comfortable but getting back there is an issue. Even my wife who is 125 has issues getting back there....

Fuuny thing about some 04 goats... as east side found out doing a head change, some have what appears to be something like the ls2 block...it required 20 short head bolts, like the ls2's rather than 16 short and 4 long like the ls1's.

the 04+ blocks are tapped the same for the head bolts ls1 and ls2 thats why they need the 20 short as opposed to the old setupwith 4 long

Gotcha....I don't know Joel. Down here (North Carolina) heat soak would be a major issue since its so damn hot in the summer. What about running the K&N and then the timing tricker when I'm at the track? Would that help?

Wow,that would make for a nice suprize...
Didnt know GM did this to the 04+ blocks....

Ken,I'd try only the tube mod on your car with just a filter replacement.
Some guys saw about 5RW with it...
