Default First time to the track this year...

Well the car hasnt recieved any real improvement mods, i put a cage in, and got some new rims with drag radials. Both which have really made my car a pig, last year it was 3573, after cage and rims, its 3643 (with me in it). Exactly 70lbs heaver, which im kind of scratching my head about cause i put in lightweight carpet with no insul, removed a/c... i know i picked up 80lbs in the cage, how much more could the rims possibly weight 17" zr1's vrs my old 16" stockers.. Time to find some more weight to take out i guess, and buy some bogarts! Well last years best was a 12.89@109.8 on a 2.1 60'. Tonight i made 2 passes and the differences being i weight 70lbs more and have drag radials.
1) 12.94 @ 108.62 on a 1.98 60'
2) 12.85 @ 109.66 on a 1.98 60'

I went .04 faster than last year, which is obviously a plus with added weight, and my mph stayed the same. I'm really happy about the consistant 1.9 60's. So all and all it was a good night, plus it was only a street night. Sorry for the long post, but im pretty happy with how this season has started out. Can't wait to get my new converter in I have people saying i wont break a 12.5 with the zr1's on the car...im out to prove them wrong

congrats tim, the car is ripping!!!!!
bring her over, i'll find some weight!!! lol
12.5 will be hard on a street night, doable, but probably after a rental so there is some sticky down.
congrats.

hey i thought my "launch" picture looked pretty good, like noyzee said it was basically at idle, the brakes will only hold it at like 1100 . The new converter will solve that

Those a-holes are picking on my launch photo. Just cause I got a portly pig of a truck that has to launch soft! Dicks! I'll get a better one this year.
