Rolling Emissions
Just a heads up for the North Jersey guys, I was out before in my beater and saw the rolling emissions "gang" out on RT10 in Randolph. Stay away, I've heard bad things about what happens if you're caught with no cats...
I've been seeing more and more... anyone ever been nailed by these?

Emissions *****: Do you have cats?
Hot Rodder: YES SIR!!! They're @ home eating.

All jokes aside, what a crock! Guess this means people will just take their cats and gut them, weld the back up and slap them back on the car.
Emissions *****: Do you have cats?
Hot Rodder: On the car?
Emissions *****: Yes.
Hot Rodder: Absolutely! Wanna scan my OBDII while you're here as well?
Emissions *****: Seriously? You don't have a piggy back do you?
Hot Rodder: Now listen here, it's bad enough I'm subjecting myself to rolling emmissions, which is illegal btw, but now you want a piggy back ride? Get away from me, we're done here!

I'm not putting any windows in the garage ( I don't want anyone being able to see what's going on in there ) and they will never know... that there's a hand pump hooked up to that bad boy. I didn't think this idea up myself... buddy of mine has been doing ir for about 6 years now.. and he figures that he saves about 4 grand a year... he drives alot though, and he dirves s f350 pickup w/ a powerstroke. It went thru emmissions and all... they never knew the differnece. Here in CT, there's property tax on cars, but no road use tax, and fuel tax is done at the pumps.. so who are tey to say where I get the fuel? Home heating fuel is taxed in CT the same as a hamburger from Mcdonalds, strait 6%. A hell of alot cheaper then the 50 + cents a gallon that gas and diesel is here in CT. I'll be getting that tank in the garage... about 24 hours after the garage is put up. one 275 gallon tank, one VW golf with a diesel... I'll save 1/3 of the car payments a year from the decreased fuel bill when compared to the dodge pickup I drive every day now, that gets a whopping 15 miles a gallon... especially since I moved, and now have a 28 mile one way trip to work. The wife will be taking the truck to work everyday, as she only has to drive 5 miles round trip
Also in 04 the ram's came with a single CAT. Which just happened to fall off about 15 miles after I got the truck...
So I have to turn the box back to stock settings and it wont spew burned diesel out.. as bad
