I remember running 11.95@112 all boltons back in Dec of 00...
Man was I happy,I think that was the happiest I've been with an LS1 car

Until I bought the GTO,Now I wanna run 12.50's and be able to turn at 75

After many years of proud/happy LS1 F-body ownership I am so pleased to report that I have reached and crossed that elusive drag racing milestone into, the ELEVENS. (Though just barely LOL.)
11.99@113.16 to be exact, Friday night at Atco. I love this car.

With help from my QTP (www.quicktimeperformance.com, thanks Barry) long tube headers and Y pipe, a rebuilt trans by Tommy at Anger Management Racing and it's clean install along with a new Vigilante 3600 stall torque converter and tune (thanks Julio ) by the awesome crew over at Cartek (www.cartek.net) in Garwood, NJ I was able to pilot my bone stock internal, stock reared and completely naturally aspirated LS1 powered Z28 to a sweet new best.

Lol, I love how I'm still stuck in the deep 12s and stock internal cars are already going 11s! One day...

CamTom, if you're going up to LVD this Saturday for some 12s, I'll likely be there too. Don't know what street tires your running, but if you want you can borrow my Nitto DR's.

The A4 -v- M6 is the difference, along with the holeshot.

Also- "Eastside Tuned".. there's a FEW missing TENTHS.. get a good tune (not a "Call Kevin in Bumfuck and ask him what to do" tune) and you will see 11's. ESP is not a good tuning shop, my personal experience.

Funny story, NHRA... I've actually got my buddy's Camaro until Saturday afternoon. He had to borrow my car cause there was something wrong with his (small electrical fire) that I'm gonna fix tomorrow. We're heading down to Island on Sunday, though. Want to meet there? Or meet up here and caravan down with us?


Mr. B, what about Demonicbird00? And they're both getting the same 60's. Not calling NHRA out cause I'm still in the 13's with a cam due to my amazing driving skills , but that's some unworldly driving on the 11sec stock internal cars

There are several "stock internals" cars going 11's.. my head and cam package was NOT MATCHED, which is something that Cartek (to thier credit) and TTP have got down pat. My ESP1 cam came on too high in the power band and the AS heads were simply lukewarm heads- barely flowing more than stock. I should have left the 222/222 566/566 114 that I originally had in there- it gave a broader curve and was docile & gave great power. It's similar to the Cartek "H" cam, which has gotten 11.48 @ 119 mph. TTP also has a baby Equalizer they put in a Vette that was great.

Hmm, Tom I may be up for that, since now Saturday is looking doubtful for me. I'll have to see, I wouldn't mind trying out Island again, its been a couple years.

As for the times, I don't think its the tune, the cam only numbers were on a Cartek tune and the MPH was usually in the 113 range with that setup. With the new setup the trap speed is starting to push up to 117. I was also shifting at 62-6300 at the rental, and I'm bumping that up to 65-6600 since the setup peaks around 63 but doesn't really fall off till after 6600. So there may be a bit more mph in doing that. The 60' isn't there yet either on these Mickey DR's. And not to take anything away from these guys times, but LVD ain't the best track to try to set records at, hell they say LVD averages about 2 tenths slower than ETown, and ATCO's generally a quicker track than Etown. Oh well, its all fun anwyays, I could run 13s and still enjoy myself

dude you went in the mid 12s then richie drives the car first time to 11.1 the tune was the same. bob get a life stop the shop bashing because you hav no life.

for such a bad tuner he has cars going mid 9's safely
