Sucks to hear taht you're gonna have to go over Erik.. jsut make sure you get home safe.

OH, don't you worry about my smak talk..... I don't do it much, only when I am 100% that I can back it up.

Just you wait to see hwat happens when te garage gets built... car will probably go off the road about 2 days after it's all done for a couple years I'm sure.. because I think about every screw and bolt in my car will be coming out for some type of modification.

I've come to the conclusion that the car, wether I leave it alone, or mod it to death, is never gonna be worth anything.... esp. if that new camaro comes out.

I'll get one of those and leave it stock.... I'll have this one to mess with.

Garage will be big enough... maybe your car will find it's way in there for the sergury it will undergo when you get back. Personal lift is a go once the garage is up.. so the fun will begin!

garage is gonna be 24 x 24, and a high ceiling barn style setup, so there's no height issues. Be real nice to have my own lift at the house..... pay someone to do labor on a car... OH HELL NO! Do that shizzit myself... even if it takea a while.. the $$ saved in the first year with that lift will probably more then may for itself.

Yeah, kloter farms might even have one that would be big enough.. and they will deliver it all done. Just a thought........

yup you can pick up a nice 2 post lift capable of 9k pounds for around $2500. installation is like another $500 i think. just make sure the concrete is really thick so it can support the weight of the vehicle. eagle makes some nice lifts. ya ive looked at some sheds from kloter's and barn yard. in fact my dad had a deposit on one for his mustang, but than my mom secretly took it and put it on a big *** desk for him and that was his birthday present

Dude... that's not cool what your mom did... I'd be a little pissed. Not sure what I'll do for a lift yet, there's ones in the back of magazine's that are designed to store 2 cars on one spot, and they are on wheels so you can move te lift itself around.. not sure if you ahve seen those, but they are suposed to be able to hold 7000 safely, and are electric, plug into a 120 volt outlet and it will raise a car, jsut takes a little while... not that big a deal to me.. and it's something that I could take apart and move with me if I decide to move... another big plus.

sounds like a cool system, I wish I had the hight in my garage to put a lift in.

Yeah Ace.. see the garage isn't built yet.... so as long as I get to say what it's gonna be like.. makes designing one so I can put something like this in real easy. Probably cost a little more.. but worth it in the long run. Think of it like this.... what is the total amount of time needed to really turn a basicially stock car into a real pavement tearing machine.... 300, 400, maybe 1000 hours if you do a total build from scratch? Imagine paying someone 75 an hour to do all that....... yeah right. I've paid for enough labor already, some stuff like motor assembly, tuning.. that will get left to a professional that does it for a living and knows the in's and out's.. but the rest, this guy is gonna start doing himself. Probably knock 1/3 or more of the total cost of my project right off the top.... nothing wrong with that IMO.

Thanks guys!

That was out here in Muncie, IN. I drug a couple of car friends and my brother down there to video, but I don't have the software to pull the vid off the camera (doh!)

Hey Jay, I know I'll be playing catch up again soon, I just wanted to point out that my dyno sheet only reads 365 hp vs. your 403... lol

Brad, I do wonder what she'll run with some heads...

Understood on the dyno sheet................ but my car has to drag my fat *** down the track too, so that alone needs a good extra 50 Hp to do that

All that aside... you did trap the same as me, you ever weigh your car? Curious to see what your car weigh's... mine's a pig. Not for long though.

I didn't weigh it this time, but I weighed in at 3695 at LVD with some tools and other crap in the T-top well

I actually have no idea what I put down on the dyno since I was stuck at 3/4 throttle for that pull... I bet it's a bit higher, lol. What rear gears do you have?

Gears in my car are 4.10's... but I probably should have went with 3.90's if a 26 inch tire stays on the car.. I'm already over 6400 going thru @ 110+... and once 200 or more lbs go out, I'm sure that's only gonna make that situation worse..... never mind if a blue bottle finds it's way into the car

Guess 28 inch tires are gonna be in order... wnoder if I can get Noyzee down once I start to give me some pointers as to where to start hammering...

Yeah.. your car's lighter then mine... but then again, that was before you put that rear in too, I'm sure it weigh's more.

I'm sure that your dyno # is probably 15 HP low at a minimum if it wasn't getting full throttle before..... I'd get it redyno'ed just for te piece if mind.

I went by this place here in Ft. Wayne called Dynatech (the only shop in the area that I know has a dyno...). They wanted $100 for 3 pulls, so I walked my happy self right back out and drove down to the track that night, lol

I might make it by Eastside in the next two weeks (I have to travel through NY again, but I don't know how much time I'll have there), so if I do I'm definately going to hit up their dyno. I'll let ya'll know what the new numbers are.

With the 4.22's I'm right under my rev-limiter (6500) trapping 113... I'll probably get a 28" sticky tire when I get more power, too
