Sorry for the long delay in replying, I just got my new laptop up & running.
Stupid me took the old PC off-line & let my IT guy use my 19" LCD monitor to see if it was what he wanted (he's thinking of buying it) before I got the laptop internet ready.
It has taken some getting use to with the smaller keyboard that also has a slightly different layout & 17" vs 19" monitor but I like it so far.

That said,

I always leave my spare in since the car needs traction in the rear, & the cars weight is consistent since I've always raced with the spare.

Don did the tune so I know the A/F is right & I don't know what DA is.

BTW-the left lane sucks for traction.
I always race with just a little over 1/4 & the 60's were within .05 for the left & right lanes that night for me.

That's what I was thinking/hoping.

You sould be in the 12's without even trying w/ headers and a tune.
I dynoed at 327rwhp 337rwtk at the time untuned and 5000mi on the clock.
What was your dyno no's?
My 1st slip ever was 13.63 @ 107
I think my corrected dyno is 332, I can't find it.

1. Make sure the car is cool and dont let it run in staging. Dont even let it run before the burnout. HEAT IS BAD!
2. stage as shallow as you can,Its worth a tenth.
3. Just because you have ET streets doesn't mean your car will like a "clutch drop". You might still have to ride it out to keep the motor alive.
4. If you have enough traction keep your foot in it when you shift and shift it 4 to 500 rpms above peak power.
5. Make sure you have good gas in it especially if you still have the knock scensors in it.

Good luck and for what its worth ,my 01 ws6 with just a filter, lid, translator and mac headers ran 12.46 @114 on regular radials @ full weight and with the stock cat back. It just takes seat time and practice. I have made over 1200 passes down the track.
I never let my car run extra time if feasible.
I learned that from my turbo day & heat soaking of the intercooler.
I'm not sure what shallow staging is. When I light the 2nd light I stop.
I don't clutch drop, I slip it a bit, as Don told me to do.
Peak power, I don't know where that is.
I always run good gas, another thing I learned from my turbo days so I don't end up with ash trays.

Shallow staging is when you just roll enough to turn on the second light. you will notice your reaction times will be slow at first but most cars pickup a tenth to a tenth and a half.

If you don't mind me asking, at what track did you make your 12.46, 114 mph pass at, and what were the weather conditions? Also, any back-up ETs and trap speeds? You were running stock radials w/just tuning, Mac headers, lid and filter mods, w/3.42's, correct? Also, what does your car 60 ft. w/that combo and the 12.46, 114 time? Very impressive---almost unbelievable... WJ

WJ. That was three years ago so I dont remember all the details but It went something like this.
Brand new 2 days old 13.1 @109+ The first stick I had driven in two years.I could have went in the 12s with some seat time.

Two weeks later with a filter and a lid. 12.8 @111 @NED. Don and some others were there.
after that the best was a 12.7@111 with just the lid and filter.

Then I did the MAC headers, translator, home made ram air and went 12.6 @112+
Then in January I removed the sway bar, spare tire and jack and went the 12.4 @114 at Rockingham. 50* and Rockinham is at sea level. My car was a loaded 01 WS6 and the tires were regular radials. There was some members there and I one of them was "niphilly"(screen name) on here.

I hope your not calling me a liar." ---almost unbelievable... WJ[/QUOTE]" In the past 23 years racing I have over 1200 passes down the track and most of them are with a stick.

Rockingham in January explains alot to me. I've made a few passes in my day as well...114 is killer trap speed, for NA, stock heads and cam--especially the very mild '01-'02 F-body cam...and no, I was not calling you a liar, but 114 w/your combo is: "almost unbelievable" in my opinion. The ultra cool weather and the sea-level track puts the fastest M6 cars w/your mods in the 112 mph range, that's why I asked for some details...Although a A4, my stalled '02 ran low 110's and low 12.30's in 50 degree dry fall air at NED w/stock motor, 3.23's and a Kinder Edit tune, along w/stock c.i. exhaust manifolds, LG Motorsports Y, and open cutout. Raceweight was 3550 and 60's were 1.67's.The 4 mph difference could not be all converter slip....so your car's exceptional, for sure. Also, I do know that Rockingham, as well as Atco, are known to be a couple of the fastest tracks on the eastern seaboard in cool, dry weather, so that could be a answer for the big mph, as well. WJ

Whoa, thought you posted up 112.53.... It was 113.53? My puny 110.3 is head-hanging material, I guess... WJ

the weight was 3510 Sun. I took out the back and Pass seats.

and my speed was actualy 113.25 not 113.53 the .53 was with the 12.2 pass.

Next race I may take out the bumper supports front and rear the carpet may come out also. Looking to get it down to 3400 so I can get my 11.8.

Come cool weather, you should be right there, although the 10ths come hard when you start to get to that 12.0 slot. Good luck... WJ

fwiw: been watching ls1 f-body racing since 1998 and i see a clear 1.5+ second ET margin from the fastest to the slowest bone stock cars.....if i had to guesstimate a median ET (median ET = the ET where there are the same # of cars going quicker as there are going slower)...my guess: 13.480, bone stock.

Bone stock is pretty boring...A few mods and good tires really bring out the best in these cars, and who's behind the wheel at the track makes a big difference--even w/an automatic. WJ

All true.. I know that seat time with me would have put my car in to the 11's I'm sure.

Seeing as that's not gonna happen..I'll remove uneeded parts.. removing weight is a good way to make up for seat time

Erik.. we'll take care of some of your seat time Sunday, mine too if there's time.

If you get a chance this week, try to get to natural country, see if they will let you put your car on their truck scale... and then go after Sunday, see what the difference is.. I'd suggest trying to keep the same amount of gas in it too.. probably the only way to do that is go with a absolutely full tank both times, simply beacuse it will at least be a constant. I'm gonna try on saturday if I get up there.. I gotta go get the emmissions done too, so hopefully I'll be able to get up there early enough to go somewhere and get it taken care of... unless the place you had mentioned is open late at some point in the week, in that case, I'll go next week.
