Angry WHY does GM put that bolt there???

Did a set of headers on an 01 firehawk last night, and it was a virgin, un touched. pretty much stock.
i swear it took longer to get that rear bolt off the pass side coil pack then it did to do the hole job!!
besides the fack it was 10000* in my garage, and my hands wear sweatty and i dropped the wrench 100000 times. lol

what a PITA that one bolt is. i'll tel you know, that bolt isnt going back in!!
came out nice tho, spark plugs will be in today, and finish up on the t-stat swap.
last night i did the header swap, and the tq arm install
Kooks race headers, and y-pipe. should be nice when its done.
Thanks for buying me dinner and beer Matt! once she is done tonight, we are going to ESP tommorow to tune it, and then to the track she goes!

i usually take the bolt off the back of the head that holds on the AIR assembly on. then spin the nut off the bracket, pry it off the stud..

take the bracket and nut out back..and smash it with a big hammer.

Sounds good to me. Just think, this spring I'm putting up a garage, steel one with a pretty high ceiling, cause I'm gonna get one of those drive on ramps so I can start being side job johnny too, and do as much to my own car as my ability will allow, which should be a good amount.

I'll be stealing your side jobs from south of the mass border LOL

I know the deal, just razzin ya. I know that the job we gotta do on my car is no picnic... but that's probably why we'll do it on a Friday night/saturday morning at ESP. Speaking of that... when the time comes after I pay you off, whenever we set up to do that, you are welcome to crash at my house that Friday night.. I'll but hte beer and whatnot, got a good spare bed, and the couch is comfy, I made sure for when the wife gives me the boot LOL. I figure that I'll take that friday off, get teh car there mad early so it will be cool by the time that I start, and when you get there, I'll have everythign done that I can myself, and then we can really dig in... maybe with any luck, we'll have the thing all done that same weekend. I'm thinking about what has to get done to do the job, I can probably get all the external's off and fluids drained and whatnot myself that morning, as long as Ken's cool with it, and if you come down that afternoon or whatever, we'll have the rest apart, and maybe start getting it back together that night, and then we can inlist ken to help finish it off Saturday morning with any luck. Not sure how long that job is supposed to take, but after looking it over, it doesn't seem that bad. With me doing asmuch as I can in the morning, and get teh major parts off that evening when you get there, should take maybe 15 hours from the time I start. Water pump, all that stuff on teh bottom of the front of the motor, radiator, all that stays in... so it shouldn't be that bad right? I'll talk to ya bout it tomorrow.

I'll finally be able to get that last piece of my AIR system off my car that's on the back of the driver's side head LOL!

there isnt much to pulling it apart as long as we have all the part to throw it together we are all good. id say once it is apart in 1/2 day we can have it all back together.
I do mine in about 6-8 hours thats with taking it apart. Ken can do it faster then me im sure, maybe we will race, your car is perfect to use as a test dumby of who is faster. |LMA||O, just kidding.
I know ken wont mind us taking it down, but smart idea is letting him do his work putting it together. its his name on it, so it will be done A+
