Default Smoking Tires

Kumho has just about to put a new tire on the market...............the Ecsta MX-C ....which they have added a chemical compound that at high tempetures will produce red or blue smoke...... however I heard the price was supposed to be around $1995 a tire

Im sorry if this is a repost....but it looked interesting so i figured I'd throw it out there

It looks like there was a chemical spill behind the car or something. Sounds like a good idea on paper but I don't like how it looks.

Here is a video of them in action, they are intended for "drifters" and as of early in the summer Kumho wasn't planning on selling them to the general public, just to people who compete in drifting events....

Cool to look at but why spend the extra money, it'll just make you want to roast them. That video is funny, just knowing whats going on in that diff as he's doing that burnout...

I highly doubt 2k per tire...maybe 2k a set? Are they going to smell like strawberries when you burn em up?

I wonder if you rig up bleech and food coloring inside a spare winshield wiper sprayer that goes on the tires if it will do this same effect for a TON cheaper.

actually it is gonna be 1995 PER TIRE!!!! i read the article i believe in car and driver this month...the third picture was the one i saw.. yea 1995 per tire is just rediculous and if i spent that kinda money on a tire i wouldnt burn it up like that...what you guys figure 400 per burnout(of course for both tires ) but then again if you have 1995 to spend per tire then i guess you wouldnt care about money? oh well nice lookin though
