I just got a phone call from my sister, a guy I know, and her boyfriends best friend was killed in Iraq yesterday. He left .... maybe one or two months ago. The crazy part is I've had a bunch of friends serve in Iraq and Afganistan, with the only casualty being a guy broke some bones in a helicotpter accident. You read about people being killed over there all the time, but it's crazy when it's someone you know.

thats very sad news. very sorry to hear that. a friend of the families son was killed there last year, they blew up his truck him and 4 others where killed.

My good friend is there. I very much know how you feel through most of this war also. Having people esp. close friends you love and care about.

A friend of my old my old roommate was killed, he was about my age, lived down the street from me. I still hang around with his sister and cousin and even now it's still an odd feeling.

Yeah it was on the front page of the papers here today since he is from Wallkill. That's a tragedy, my condolences to his friends and family.

 

Yeah, my sister is down there with his family, I guess the national guard sent two troops to keep the press away from the house. She said the boston globe, NY times and fox news were all parked out at the end of the driveway, but the Nat. guard troops were keeping them away from the family. I think the family is planning on having the funeral up here to try to get away from the press, I had no idea the media would take this much intrest in the family?
