Default what do you think of this car

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...ist=110#vdptop

I am looking for a new DD, and I love this car, and this particular price is very cheap. Has anyone owned one for a DD or known someone that has? Any comments?

them cars look nice, drive nice, and are comfortable. Problem is they are absolute junk and have so many wiring issues it's unreal. Rodman ford won't even take them in on trade anymore.

I have heard a lot of bad things about the V6 LS's but nothing but good about the V8's.....you may want to take a look at those if you really do want one.

my mother has one of the V8s and its a beautiful car. as said looks nice, drives nice, and is extremely comfortably. i love driving it. she hasnt had too many problems with hers at all, nothing major anyway. she plans on buying a new one in the next year or so,since hers is getting up there in mileage.

I seen griffs moms and it was a nice looking car. I like the things don't get me wrong, but my brothers friend was here the other day asking me if I could fix her car. From the dome light back...the lights were out and no clue why. They are well known for tons of electrical problems, granted some people get lucky, but some it's the worst experiance ever.

damn, the reason why i was looking at the V6 ones as opposed to the V8 ones was that the V6 ones get 20-25 mpg but the v8s get more like 15-19 mpg (according to edmunds).

marco- i've driven nothing but a rear wheel drive car in the snow since i was got my liscense. You can drive a RWD car in the snow just as well as a FWD car if you know what you are doing. What do u think people used to do years ago when there were no FWD or AWD cars?

anyway, thanks for the responses. Griff- is your mom looking to sell hers anytime soon? If so let me know

Don't I know I drove my Trans Am and Camaro year round with no DD. Just like you the only cars I owned for the last 10 years have been rear wheel drive up until I just bought this 96 Regal... I like the Lincolns, I helped my buddy get a deal on a 2003 V8...They are nice cars.. That seems like a pretty dam good deal for a LS...Good luck with your purchase

It's a grandma car. Could also be a "Fat Chick" car.

steph the lincoln LS' are nice rides. My father has had two since they came out. An 01 and then an 03. Both were really nice and I haven't heard of any major electrical issues with them. Only problem he had with his was one of the windows came off track(could happen on any car). Other than that they were both nice rides but his were both V8 sport models and loaded to the gills. I'm not sure what the V6's are like. But they do also suck ***** in the snow. He lives up a small incline and during the winter it was dam near impossible getting up it with the LS. He just traded in his 03 for a rich man's explorer aka the aviator.

yea the same thing happened to my moms with one of the rear windows coming off the track. that and one of the exhaust manifolds managed to crack a while back. other than that hers has been fine so far. i put blizzaks on 2 winters ago, and they definitly made a big difference.

steph ill talk to her and see how soon shes lookin to get rid of it.

yea. the price on this car is so cheap i dont think i will find a better price on something much nicer. Its exactly what i want for a DD too, something 4 door luxury, but stick . The winter doesnt bother me much cause the only place i have to drive my car is work once a week which is 2 seconds away and home every month or so and if there is snow on the ground i dont go home. Hopefully its nice in person, I had a carfax done and the record is clean, just 1 owner in ME...
