I'll help too.. I'm good at bashing my own face while intslling parts LOL, ask Erik about that. Oh wait, I think he told everyone already

All that aside, find a car, and if you need help, gimmie a shout, I'm handy with a wrench.. and work for cheap.. feed me beer and food and I'm good to go. We all can ride up when you are ready to get started.. and have this car done in record time!

When you are ready to start geting parts, lemme know.. get the stuff in waves, so ya can start at one end of the car and work your way back.. or foreward, whatever works.

Hope you have alot of tools... and a welder. You're gonna need it.

I have some tools.. but not enough... thats almost going to be as fun as building the car.... going tool shopping with the company card

I know whats going to happen, I'm going to tear the car appart & have a blast doing it... then when it comes to putting it back together... the head banging will start... I'm going to need lots of help with the assembly because if I were doing it myself I would prob end up with a front wheel drive car and have no idea how I'll buy plenty of food and beer. As the time comes I'll prob also need a tool list, anything I might need that I won't think of..... I can't wait!

Haha, spending mid 20's sounds good to me, I was thinking as much as $30k, but less is better. So when are we going to start seeing pics of this camaro coming together...?

My Hero would be the builder of a legal NHRA e.f.i. LS1 stocker. I believe these cars have a index of around 9.75 and all are capable of running 1/2 to 3/4 of a second quicker. The rules are strict, and they are SO impressive. (Al Corda's Trans Am and there's a bunch of 4th gen. '98-'02 Camaro's out there as well...) Oh, and there's a stick class AND a automatic class--both about the same index....WJ

people keep telling me to stop with my car too... but hey, drivability is in the eyes of the owner. IMO, if it still runs on pump gas, and gets gas mileage equivalant to my truck ( about 13 around town, 15 on the highway ) then it's o.k. to me. I always had the thought of doing a v6 car into a race car... may still do that, who knows. If I get a mid 11 out of my car once the heads go on and a couple other things, I might stop with it there, get it repainted with something that's really wild, and get a good set of street rims and be done with it, and go find that V6 car that's dying to be a candidate for "cut, chop, rebuild"
