After the tuning, we'll take a look at how fast we can get the spooling times of the setup. If it is a fast spooling setup, then the GenVII may be a good idea. However, if it is lazy on the spool, your better off just staying with the stock computer, less complication and better drivability.

Thankd RealQuick. Pur....

Sorta funny how Jose puts down the rear mounts, and several of them make as much, if not more than the ptk kit. Just a thought. He's actually very helpful to alot of people and seems to be a good guy, but had to point that out. If Im wrong great, but it seems like everone complains these kits wont spool..

Ya you did make near the same power i did with 5 psi less but with ALTO mroe timing. I had 13 at pk tq and 10 at redline. The fuel was all messed up and since its goin ALOT better. Got bout the same timing as you and i cant wait to see the numbers. Also im still on teh stock engine and at that time i had no mods to teh engine save for springs and pushrods. So it did well.
I like the kit alot but seeing the Hi Flo i wanna get that as its showcases the turbo and that makes it alot better for the AWE factor. GL

The majority of the turbo kits out for the LS1 are awful. On several, the backpressure is so bad that you actually have less parasitic loss with a supercharger (ie the guy would make more power with a supercharger).

A good rearmount setup is always going to be showed up by a good front mount. But it is easy to show up a poor front mount setup with almost anythinng.. supercharger, good rearmount, etc.... A turbo system can really suck if you don't design the system properly.

numbers looks pretty damn good to me for that boost level. My only question that you can't tell from the graph is, what RPM is the HP peak?

The peak lloks to be right where the tq curve crosses it, so it would at 5250rpm...thereabouts.

Good call. I assume it will peak higher once the injector issue is squared away.

I assume so too, but we shall see. For a rear mount to equal a front mount powerwise, all else equal, I suspect the front mouunt would have to be very inefficient....I agree Nogo. Funny how you bring up parasitic loss on turbos, not something you hear much about... because practice does not shadow theory, and thats easy to forget.

It's not the best, but it is back when I was trying to fix the MAF. Let me see if I've got some others floating around here. Since this, the boost has been upped to 17lb, and the inlet has been changed. Unfortunately, one of the intake valve springs was cracked on the latest dyno. So she put down 670ish on 7 cylinders. Would have been around 730 if the #8 spring wouldn't have crapped out. She's currently down getting the heads reworked.

With most poor LS1 turbo's your upping your exhaust back pressure from ~2 psi to ~20+ psi and your motor has to work alot harder to get that exhaust gas out. Sometimes 100+ HP harder.
