Paging Purevl
Are you in your Soph year it sounds like? Statics wasn't too bad, follow that one closely because it lays the foundation for many of the courses you'll take down the road - resolving the directional components of forces play a big role in other classes like materials strengths, structures, dynamics, etc, even fluid forces IIRC. Fluids was interesting, but I took an introductory course that I did well in, then an intermediate fluids course that was absolutely brutal. Thermo was pretty tough, Heat xfer was much better. Alot will depend on the professor too - I had some brilliant people as instructors, but they couldn't teach to save their lives. It also gets fun when you get a 43 on a test, and with the curve it works out to a B+! Lol welcome to engineering. Junior and 1st semester of senior year get very tough, so it takes some perseverence. It's not all nose to the book though, I still managed to party quite a bit.

Anyways good luck with it, its tough now but it will pay off as you will be in a profession that is in high demand, and job opportunities are not too hard to come by. Let me know if I can help at all - I've still got a majority of my old textbooks and notes you're welcome to borrow by snail mail, though I'm probably useless for answering homework questions at this point. Also if you're looking for an internship next summer or a co-op, let me know and I can pass a resume on to the HR department.
