Thumbs up Someone is bussy! pics

sunday i pulled the tranny, and tore down most of the top half of the motor.

look how clean it is!!!

last night i tore the short block apart.

everything was perfect!! the only issue is i did brake onr top ring on the #7, but it wasnt bad at all. i could not beleve how clean it was, everything looked great, the worst bearing wasnt even bad! i was shocked to see the condition after all it has been threw

other then that, and on spot where my reused head gaskets looked like they may have blown threw, but it wasnt bad considering those gaskets where reused when i pulled my ls6 heads to go to the afr's
(i had to reuse them, i was racing the same night in mir, so no time to get new ones, and they held, so i didnt want to take it apart. lol)

the crank was perfect, and will be reused, the rods where perfect (may sell and get new ones just for insurance) i think im going to do new pistions because the old ones are just that, old. i may just have them cleaned and recoated not sure yet.
im going to do a new block also, the one i have is still the stock one from my car, and its been apart so much, im getting scared the holes will start to strip out and i will end up with a heila coil mess. lol

any way, i will try to get some more pics up. (not camera phone ones. lol)

if you can get it to last a whole season then tear downs in the winter, your doing something right. I would always tear it down anyway in the winter, regardless if it seemed fine. Im sure you got more go fast goodies on the waiting table

That's what cold winters are about, getting ready for next season. Hey Brad if you need a hand on your car, I'll swing by again.
